An ongoing list of the stuff they said they don't have, but do. I'll bet we'll be adding chemical and bio weapons to the list. Maybe even some pre nuke stuff...we'll see.

1. So far, the Iraqis have launched some non existant SCUDS at Kuwait.

Err....Lancer...

Apparently those were short range missiles and not SCUDS (which have a far longer range so it would be a bit of a shame to use them on nearby targets)

FOX has reported SCUDS. The pentagon reported them I believe.

Umm, are you guys saying that although Saddam is a mass murderer, he would NEVER lie!

Well Sten says they weren't SCUDS so maybe not yet...but they are there and if they survive they will be used in days ahead. IF they weren't used yet...

I don't think that Iraq will use chemical or biological weapons. The 'proof' that the Americans will find will consist mainly of 'dual-use' items like chlorine and syringes.

Well if I was Saddam I would sureely make sure to launch every weapon available because I can't see him getting out of this alive. Even if he surrenders... he is bound to die by accident... or from heart attack after liberation...

There's no reason for saddam to use his weapons as long as he can avoid it.

He has some unmanned aircraft he could always send on kuwait or israel carrying nasty loads.

however, if he can stop the war before losing control, without justifying it by proving he has banned weapons - he will.

how can he stop the war?

work towards building up more anti-american pressure
cause high american and brittish casualties
cause (intentionally) large humanitarian crisis (killing a whole quartal in baghdad and blaming it on the americans)

The most dangerous thing Saddam could realistically do to Bush and Blair is to take his stockpiles of WMD's, if any, and dump them all right now. They won't do much to slow down the assault, but in the next few weeks, if the coolition can't find any left-over weapons waiting to be used, the political firestorm would be so great, Bush and Blair's political futures, as well as Howards and aznars would be toast.

So again, if Saddam wants to pull of 4 regime changes, he should dump all his WMD and make sure none are found.
