Imran - I still don't see how Imran's explanation matters, don't all our pitchers count in the weekly stats? So how can setting rosters on a daily basis benefit managers with regard to pitchers? Are you saying we get only one pitcher to count for the week? I thought we get 7 pitcher spots and that ALL 7 pitchers count toward the weekly stats. I'm looking at the roster possibilities and I don't see an option for picking one pitcher for the week. The reason you gave for limiting us to 20 players was to increase strategy, but now the reason to limit us to weekly roster changes is to reduce strategy. Can you respond to these issues or tell us where to find the answers?
Chris, if Acevedo clears today, you can still get him in your roster for the coming week since Sunday/Monday (tonite) at midnite PST is the deadline for this coming week. I was just concerned that an injury on Monday means you're out that position for the rest of the week. Whats the point of having a bench if not for quick substitutions and the strategy of fine tuning the roster. Not having daily roster changes possible because someone cannot or will not pay attention to their team penalizes the rest of us for paying attention.

No. Only those you have in the starting lineup. All your pitchers on the bench do NOT count.

You aren't getting it. A manager can pick up some 3rd and 4th pitchers in a rotation and put them on the bench. If there is daily roster changes, then they can sub them in for the 1 and 2 pitchers they have on the days when they start, and then sub out the 3 and 4 pitchers and sub in the 1 and 2, etc. So you may have one team that has 10 starts in a week, while another team has 4.
Yes, sometimes you have a pitcher that pitches 2 times a week, but then it is 5 starts vs. 4. MUCH better than having 10 v. 4, or something similar.
You'd have to rotate pitchers in and out every day in order to stay competitive at all.

No, it penalizes someone that isn't online every day. A lot of people mostly check during weekdays, because they are online at work. I don't feel like penalizing them.
And no, I haven't changed it, and I won't.
