without extensive use of WoMD it would be impossible for those two countries to do any significant damage to the US troops. we can see their troop deployments, movements long before they're within firing range of our troops. our air superiority would almost cripple anything they could send at our troops. and even with WoMD their chances aren't good.

iran and syria would be lucky if they could defeat the israeli army, much less the US.
