Was there any ever real point to this thread or was it just an opportunity to gloat publicly by the moderators over a private joke that no-one else got to share?

Seems more like spam to me than most threads closed for that reason.

Chicago is GMT-6 at the moment (no daylight saving's time 'til the wekend), and Solver is GMT +2 normally, and an extra +1 for European DST, making +9

Well, let me say this, full explanation to follow sooner.

We had a nice number of ideas... one of them seemed pretty hillarious to us all, both by the possible result and just the fun factor, however, there were some, erm, PR difficulties in putting that to public as if it was a real thing. I'm though probably going to post that soon - what we planned to made look real .
