I actually know Apolyton since before even Civ3 came out, however, I never entered the forums (I had a natural adversion towards internet geekness), but I got all my Civ3 news from this site.

In Jan I got PTW and I had some burning questions about the editor so I posted them. For most of my first 2-3 weeks I just made a couple of posts a day on the General forums although I lurked quite a bit (I was recovering from an operation so I had nothing better to do ), then I entered the Spanish forum and life changed forever...

I can honestly say so far Poly has been one of the coolest things to happen so far to me this year, there are wonderful people here (and others who I shall refrain from commenting on, but are found in the OTF).

oh and the demo games rule!!

I would still post here for sure. Any long time posters come (and stay) here for the games they play, not to rack up posts. As long as I play civ I'll be here.

I'd be more interesting in knowing if people why people want post counts - for the title or for the rank in DC's list.


I'd prefer to get rid of PC related titles and replace them with custom ones given to people by their fellow posters.

That works brilliantly on CGN, but on a site as large as 'poly it would create lots more work for already very busy mods and admins.
