I think I get what he means. Mods can get +1s by posting on topic (like a regular poster - the "on topic" part he is talking about). They can also get +1s by posting moderator stuff like warnings and punishments (the "off topic" stuff he is talking about).

The scarey part is I only understood that now, after having a few bourbons.

There's a great 'Poly popup ad for Jack Daniels or something similar. A pic of Skanky after a few beverages with a bottle of JD, and the words "After a few of these even Panag makes sense".

I try to avoid using the special features since they can sometime slow down the site for everyone else. An IP search had a tendency to stress out the old server. Maybe the extra punch of the new 'settler' will handle it better.

it's an IP search? that wouldn't work for me I believe. I visit poly from a dozen different computers since I'm in the computer labs at school all the time.

Eh? Just click on the number of posts for the thread in the A/C forum and it comes up. I don't think this slows anything down for anyone.
