Oilers win 2-1 (almost 3-1, if not for the questionable-but-probably-correct high-sticking call). Take the lead in the series. Oh, yes...
But I hope they don't get too cocky. Pride could be their downfall.
Never the less, I am very pleased.
(Especially to see Hatcher get the misconduct; he, Odelein, Lemieux, and Morrow, were just nasty tonight; I'm glad the Oil kept their head in the game and didn't retaliate. Beautiful.)

My revolutionary idea: Rename the Oilers. The name's all right, I guess, but I have trouble getting too excited and/or proud about petroleum. I propose they change the team name to...
(Drumroll, please...)
The Edmonton Protocol.
It's something we can REALLY be proud of, and it's edgy! The kids'll love it!

Hey, it's probably the best thing to ever come out of our city, so we might as well celebrate it, eh?
Expand your horizons, man! The doors of perception will be cleansed!

It's only the first games. It'll be interesting to see if the Canucks have what it takes to come back. With Crawford managing them, I doubt it, but who knows.
Detroit should have enough experience to know this is just one game, but experience also tells them what a super hot goalie can do for a team.
From what I have read, the Sens tried to play a hard-hitting game against the Isles and it back-fired. They'll probably go back to their old style and get their act together.
Philly is in trouble. Chechmanek must be having a massive confidence crisis after letting in four goals on 14 shots. Ten bucks says he'll throw another hissy fit before the series is over. Meanwhile the Leafs know they were sh!t lucky and will come out even stronger in the next game.

Not worried. Wasn't worried last year, not worried now.
I would, of course, like to change my prediction to Detroit in six.

Detroit is dead. The difference this year is that the Wing's are facing a team with a hot goalie.

Heavens!
3-2 for the Oilers.
That was one of the greatest games I've ever seen!
Dvorak's goal was positively Gretzkyesque!
I'm still very, very nervous, though...
Very.
