I want to state that I have left cardinalhood!
I am leaving Spain in looking for adventures and good deeds until Spain is prepared for a holy order of Blessed Templar warriors to go on a crusade against the evil; I thus call the great warrior Thrumble to acompany as we walk through these lands until Spain is prepared for such an order; Thus God commanded me, thus shall it be!´[ooc]Make your character go errant like mine until chivalry is discovered! Holy orders before this can be perfectly done, but are a little out of place, I think. Besides , then there could be one order only! The Gladius Dei![ooc]

[ooc: I wanted to post the coronation some days earlier, but 'poly was down, anyway, it is finished now.]
A crowd gathered in the church of Madrid, the church of the oldest diocese of Spain. King Justino Togas wass present with the most important nobles of Spain. He was sitting in the foremost pew, beside him Ricardo Fernandez at his right and Don Constantino Astronicus at his left. Jaguar Dejon was there with Don Alvarez de Plaguatés, señor Ninot, Duke Aidun Cian, Don Torquemada, Señor Pikesfan and Don Juan de Molay. (ooc: add yourself If I have forgotten to mention you. Señor de Nuñes is being mentioned because he is dead.)
The choir started to sing. It seemed to take hours, but finally a small procession entered the church. Twelve acolytes followed by four cardinals. The fifth cardinal was at the end of the procession, behind the four. They went up the stairs to the sanctuary and bowed before the cross behing the altar. While the other cardinals sat down in chairs beside the altar and the sanctuary, Cardinal Winterius took the thurible and incensed the altar, the Holy Script and the Easter-candleafter which the acolyte incensed him.
After some prayers, Cardinal Tacticus stood up and followed by an acolyte who was bearing a candle he walked to the golden eagle-like lectern and spoke to the people in the church.
"Brothers and sisters, today is a very special day for all of us. In the last few months, the first five cardinals of the Church have elected one of them to the first Pope. The Holy Father will be our leader on earth and the closest servant of the Almighty God and His son Jesus Chist. He will guide us all to the eternal life in heaven.
We have chosen Cardinal Aidun Cian to Pope. Today we are here to enthrone him and celebrate his consecration. Let us now pray the preface. Credo in unum Deo."
All stood up and prayed while the choir sang.
Then Cardinal Quixote stood up and followed by two acolytes bearing candles, he knelt before the book, took it and walked with it to the eagle. He opened the book and gazed at the audience for a moment. The cardinal cleared his throat and started reading the first reading. At the end he gazed at the choir for a second and it started singing. When the singing ended, Cardinal Quixote read the second reading. Again the choir sang and the cardinal read the third and the fouth reading, after which the choir sang. Finally he returned to the other cardinals.
Then it was the turn of Cardinal Calamari. He stood up and walked to the eagle, opened the book and read the Gospels according to St. Matthew, St. Luke, St. Mark and St John while all stood and listened intensely. He returned and put the Holy Script back to it's place. He preached and walked back to the other cardinals.
Cardinal Winterius stood up, followed by the other three cardinals and Cardinal Aidun Cian with ten acolytes with candles surrounding them, one with the incense-boat and thurible and one woth the holy oil.
"Finally the moment has come," Cardinal Winterius, spoke "for the consecration. I request you to kneel down." Cardinal Aidun Cian knelt down. Cardinal Winterius opened a white book and started reading.
"As a pope, thou might need to judge over people that have lost the right way. Doeth thou promise to be unbiased and judge in a fair and just way?"
"In the name of God, yes I promise."
"Receive then the white papal cloak."
Cardinal Calamari stepped forward and hung the white cloak over the shoulders of the kneeling cardinal.
"As a pope, thou hast to guide us, children of the almighty God to a safe place, like Jesus did in his life. Doeth thou promise to use all thine efforts to protect us from evil and guide us to the eternal life?"
"In the name of God, yes I promise."
"Receive then the papal staff in thy hand."
Cardinal Quixote stepped forward and placed the golden staff in the hand of the old cardinal
"As a pope, thou art our leader and our ruler. Doeth thou promise that thou shalt no use thy power for any other purposes then to ensure the words of the Lord?"
"In the name of God, yes I promise."
"Receive then the papal crown."
Cardinal Tacticus stepped forward and placed the beautiful golden crown on the head of Cardinal Aidun Cian.
"As a pope, thou art the first and most important priest of the almighty God in this world. Therefore I anoint thee with the holy oil,"
The acolyte with the holy oil walked to Cardinal Winterius and handed the holy oil over to him. The cardinal put his thumb in the small silver jar and gave it back to the acolyte. Then he made a small cross on the forehead of the kneeling cardinal before him. Then he continued:
"and I incense thee to strengthen this new bond between Heaven and Earth,"
He took the thurible from the other acolyte and incensed the cardinal who was still kneeling.
"Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen."
"Stand up Pope Aidun."
Pope Aidun stood up and bowed to the four cardinals that just consecrated him to pope. Behind him the audience cheered. The eyes of the old priest filled with tears when he turned to the audiencein the pews and saw all stand up for the new pope.
"Hereby I appoint Cardinal Calamari as Archbishop of Madrid, as my most important advisor. I appoint Cardinal Tacticus as my vice-pope to replace me when I am not able to fulfil my duty as pope. I call Don Juan de Molay to come out of his pew so that I can bless him as well as Cardinal Winterius as Paladins of the Church. I also call Don Torquemada to come out of his pew so that I can install him as the head of the inquisition. At last I call Señor Pikesfan to come to me so that I can consecrate him as cardinal."
After he had consecrated the two cardinals, consecrated Señor Pikesfan as cardinal, blessed the other cardinal and Don de Molay as Paladins and installed Don Torquemada as the head of the inquisition, the mas was continued. Cardinal Tacticus did the eucharist. All were given the host and the consecrated wine, after which the new pope blessed all and the mas was finished.

I humbly thank you, Most Holy Father, for your confidence in my abilities. I am certain that through the help of God, and the prayers of Saint Hernan, and the Holy Mother, that I shall serve you to the best of those abilities, and may God strengthen me to do His Will on this earth.
May I suggest we decide on the division of dioceses at present, and move onward to the institution of missions abroad? Then, of course, we must see what we can do about...the Inquisition...

The Inquisition is certainly an important thing for us all. The question "Do you renounce Satan and all his works" is one that must be asked of those who seek to deny Christ in Spain, and I fear that there may be many who do. Non-violent methods must be at first taken. We cannot kill men's bodies and expect to convert their souls. Heretics who openly preach falsehood cannot be tolerated, of course. I know two guys who we can appoint to minister to them...Cardinals Biggles and Fang, of course. With their fanatical devotion to the Pope, and their methods of persuasion (i.e. the Comfy Chair), they will surely be of much use to our cause here on earth.

I am sad to say that My brother, Cardinal Winterius, while seeking noble deeds in the Days Of The Crimson Storm, has disappeared. I fear for his life, as no signs of him have been found since the end of the storm. I believe he may have been killed at it. Anyway, If he died he surely done it in a most honoured and sacred life. Anyway,let us keep such pessimistic toughts away and hope he appears alive.
