Fellow Cardinals, my reason for not making an appearance was that I was not able to. I was recently making a journey around Spain to see what there was to see, but was waylaid by bandits ont he way back, causing me to be unavailable for some time. I am, however, now back (as you can see), and hence I can argue my case for being Pope (and vote on it, of course).
Now, Senor Aidun has made much of his being merciful towards those who stray from the correct path. This is nonsense. While the Church should always attempt to draw sinners back into the fold and peacefully convert those that it can, death must always be available as the final resort to stamp out the influence of Satan. Better that the unredeemable die and vanish, then be left alive to spread their heresy and poison the minds of innocents.
I, on the other hand, while I intend to make every effort to ensure that the Church tries to guide and educate rather than impose, believe that when evil hold sway and refuses to be cowed by words, we have no other option but to employ arms and death. To fail to do so would be to condemn countless innocents to Hell for no other reason than that we failed to protect them.

Why not accept senor pikesfan?
HE is such adedicated man! I understand Cardinal Cian is against it because he was accepted in the middle of an election, and that is unlawfull, but I myself am in favour of the entrance of Señor Pikesfan.
So let us do it this way :
We hal those elections now, and let them start again in a week.
The way of God Is that of jsutice and fairness. Besides, Cardinal Tacticus is yet to speak.
I ask for your support on this decision of halting the elections untill it is better organized.

Cardinal Calamari, I don't oppose the consecration of senor Pikesfan as a cardinal, I oppose the fact that it happened during the elections, that is unfair and I will not tolerate it.
Consecrate Pikesfan after the elections or postpone the elections, the choice is up to you. I do not care who of us will become pope now: Cardinal Tacticus or myself, I do not recognize the pope if outsiders are made cardinal during this election.
If you refuse to choose between the two options, I will reconsider my cardinalship in this church
Edit: I will do something that the Roleplayers do not like, but is inevitable = I will reconsider my cardinalship in this church
