You know, I'm not sure...I've never tried out for them. Come to think of it, it's really only a thing I 'heard' about. You know, like through the grapevine, so to speak. What's more I hear that the leader's of the Cardinals are in a far away city that I've never heard of or can even imagine exists; it's call 'St Louis', makes sense to call the leader of Cardinals a Saint, don't you think?

I fear you have lost yours. If I ask for postponing I do NOT mean to hold elections a few hours later again, but give anyone time to reconsider his vote, time for new cardinals to become consecrated, etc.

If you want to play the game fair, you should allow anyone to join the cardinalship and THEN hold new elections. It is unfair to let Pikesfan join and refuse Thrumble or anyone else to join.

History guy -

A couple of things - change the time to "from the beginning" I have a bunch archived that are over a year old.

Check and clear out the message tracking, outbox and the inbox. You are allowed a total of 150 PM's, that includes tracking, old, in and outgoing.

Happens a lot, we actually had a couple of threads in the spdg topped for a while as there were so many PM's for the government people that just were not making it. Hope this helps.

Cardinal Cian, though you are a brother to me, I must demand you cease to insult my intelligence by suggesting corruption. I have only ever tried to do my best for Spain, and to be honest, my mind is not wholly on the matter, what with the terrible black plague that is decimating my family.

Hold the elections yourself while I am gone. At least I tried to do it, you must give me that much respect. It was something no one else was bothering to do...

Enough of this bickering! The people of Spain have labored for years, awaiting news of who will head the church and the Cardinals cannot seem to come to a sensible conclusion!

I hereby call a halt to this meeting and appoint my Most Trusted Advisor, OliverFA, to preside over this meeting of Cardinals to determine which of the candidates shall be named Pope.

OliverFA, choose any method at your disposal to determine the Pope. If you choose an election you shall determine who is eligible to vote and shall determine the rules of any voting.

Thank you for the confidence you put in me, your Majesty. I promise you that at the end of this meeting the kingdom will have a pope. May the Allmighty inspire me the wisdom needed and help me mediating in this dispute.

It is clear that the Devil is trying to misguide us and seed the Chaos in the Church, and this is a think that Spain simply can't allow.

First of all, everyone that is not a cardinal or doesn't claims to be a cardinal must leave the room, inmediately! And when I say everyone I mean everyone, save from me, the people who might vote in the election, and a scribe to write everything that will happen here so everyone in Spain can know. Yes, that includes the servants who bring the drinks and food. I once heard from a Holy Man that don't eating for a while purifies the soul, and its pretty clear that the cardinals here urgently need to remove any demonic influence in them. Me, well... I don't need to do that because I am not the one who will decide. But however will do the same to serve as an example (and because I don't want a bunch of hungry men to attack me to steal my food).

Also, no one should disturb the deliberations in order not to introduce misguidings into the heads of the cardinals, unless something really important happens, like the enf of the World. But I hope we will finish this meeting before 800 years have passed.

I don't think señor Calamari is able to say much at the moment. I wonder if he is trying to reach soma angel or spirit... Anyway, in that case I will take his last word as a definitive unless he wakes up and changes his mind. So, the first point of the day is to decide who is cardinal and who not. Please, voice yourselves and explain why and in name of which authority, you claim to be cardinals.

Señor Juan de Molay, I will take note of your offer for the Pope (whoever he is) to study as soon as he is elected. However, an order of knights devoted to protect the King, the Church and Spain seems a very good idea.

I am the one that brought the news of monotheism to Spain when I returned from one of my voyages. I saw the light and became converted by the almighty God.
Before this conversion I was already a respected priest like señor Tacticus and señor Calamari too.Since my conversion to christianity I have studied the Bible and preached the word of the Lord to anyone who wanted to hear about.
I have followed the example of the Lord: I forgave those who sinned against me, I helped those who needed my help, etc.

For these reasons I claim to be cardinal.

Señor Winterius, certainly La Academia and the interest your family has shown about the Holy Scriptures show you are a cardinal. However, I would advise you to pay attention to the voices in your head, for they could be the voices of the servants of God, but also the voices of the Devil trying to misguide you.

All this speech about those crusaders is great, but now it's the name of meditation, not of weapons. (looking at the cardinals weapons) In fact I don't believe you need your weapons at this moment. Señor Fernandez, I am not the one who opposes the cardinalhood of senõr Pikesfan, but I do oppose the way he was consecrated:
- There was no discussion witth the other cardinals, Cardinal Calamari did it by himself alone. I do oppose this way of handling.
- Cardinal Calamari did it DURING the elections. Whether señor Pikesfan would vote in favotr of me or not, I oppose the idea that people can be made cardinal during the elections to vote in favor of some party. Senõr Fernandez, If you approve señor Pikesfan as a cardinal with a right to vote for the pope, I request that you keep the opportunity for me to get my friends become cardinal so that they can vote for me. If we play this game of getting your friends to become cardinal, both parties should have the opportunity to do so, isn't it?

Señor Pikesfan, I do not oppose you being named cardinal, but señor Aidun has a valid point here in saying that your nomination happened during the first attempt of election. Provided that I am not a Holy Man but a manager in charge of getting this issue solved, I base on the known facts to legitimate my decission, and I'm recognizing the five cardinals consacrated prior to the begining of the election. That is, by order of consacration: Cardinal Calamari (HistoryGuy), Cardinal Tacticus, Cardinal Aidun, Cardinal Winterius and Cardinal Quixote (Thud).

However, I declare this list as a provisional one, and the first Pope, inspired by God, may want to revise it.
