I believe the Lighthouse is 300 shields. And I personally felt we would have gotten enough out of the Library for it to be worthwhile, but there is no point in discussing it further, since the decision was made. So, in other words, I'll shut up about it.

Hmm, if this was the end of turn screenshot... then Arashi builds its walls before we could change it anyway, huh? So that's moot too.

I think we still can change it. EotS builds a WC too and will be prompted first, so I think we can then switch to Arashi and change the build order.

One thing that isn't clear from the screenies is exactly what we have in Arashi.

I'm not sure. I tend to agree, but haven't heard very much of the decisions in the chat. It lasted full 4 hours (from the beginning of my work day till lunch break), and I could only occasionally pay attention.

Btw not sure that we'll be prompted. IMHO the setting is at "Always build previous built unit", in which case we will not be prompted and can't switch.

Or more generally, what is our overall military disposition at the moment (since I don't have the save)? What forces do we have, and where (and would it be worth keeping a topped thread of 'game status' - military deployment, city production, current build, time left - as a general info-center).

I'm actually hoping they do try for Monsoon with the smaller stack. We have at least four uninjured WCs in Arashi plus our wounded elite, a vet sword, and (counting the road 9 of Arashi) at least a couple regular swords. (I don't have the save open to provide exact counts.) If they take a shot at Monsoon, we can probably take their smaller stack out, and then we can heal and upgrade while waiting for their bigger one.

Regarding Hurricane's defense, if we tried to intercept farther north, we could not have our defenders fortified in time. As it is, the plan is to have three swords (including two vets) fortified on the tile we're about to start mining and a pike, maybe with another sword for support, between the Voxian stack and Hurricane. Hurricane itself can have an additional pike in it by the time Vox could attack the city, and a medieval infantry from Tornado can either be in Hurricane or attack the units that blasted through into a position to attack it - if Vox succeeds in blasting through.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. It helps us a bit that upgrading a unit heals it too.

EDIT/PS: Nathan, do you know if we might be able to chance Arashi's production when we open the turn? If so, I'm gonna argue for a WC instead of walls, but if not, I'm not gonna waste my pixelated breath.

Trip, personally I think you should post in threads that directly address you, like this one does (although I don't know what happened, clearly nye thought you were someone else). However, you posting in every other thread was not what we agreed to, our forum is relatively spam free. Don't feel bad you were asked to stop last time, and certainly there is no reason to stop posting similar comments in the historian thread.

If you have chronicle questions, ask them in the right thread, and you will be answered, I'm sure. And witty comments are welcome too

I think NYE was right to be careful, as evidence is mounting that vox is being controlled by at least one other civ. Plus, at the time, the chat was relatively insecure, remedied later thanks to Sir Ralph, IIRC.

All trip had to post was something in this thread, not a big deal, I did it and others did as well. Aeson was not asked, btw to say that Sir Ralph looked funny, that was on his own he would have been welcome in the chat if we had some proof. Times are tough around here and that was a tense chat, we didn't need to worry about a potential spy.

Instead of getting my questions answered, I get questions about HOI, and my thread becomes the new discussion thread about a poem.

And when I try to ask questions about what's going on, I get told to "bugger off" to where I belong.

Oh well, I suppose that's not really my concern, I will let the events tell the story...

And I agree that it turned into a poem war (a good one, actually ), but don't tell me you don't have enough personality to regain control after a few posts, I won't buy it. Theseus, yes we have HBR, we got it a long while back.

Further, I was calling the mountain 9 of Arashi A9 internally, it made sense. There is a real K2, so why no A9
Thunder mountain will be okay too, anything shorter then "the mountain 9 of Arashi" is fine for me.

And are you really serious you want to be called in the middle of the night in case of GS emergencies? Wow... I thought I invested a lot of time in GS

When that poem was being discussed, nothing else was really going on in the game. Since then that thread has been dead.

As I said, asking me not to post in other threads is a fair request, but that coupled with everything else I've seen has prompted me to have to comment...

Sorry I've been around intermittently... I had lots of visitors this weekend, and then was utterly exhausted yesterday (the weekend took a lot out of me), and tonight I have softball... it's tough because not much happens while the other teams have the save, and the BOOM, there is a flurry of activity once we have it.

Does that Swordsmen really need to be on the Iron next to Hurricane? If we move him up the mountain range, we can play "catch me if you can" with their 2 Immortals, making it look like we have more forces that we actually do at this point.
