	Supposed you had another $10 million... Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

Here's the hypothetical: You're an American billionaire. The Bush tax cut has just passed, leaving you with $10 million that you would have otherwise had to pay in taxes. What do you do with that $10 million?

(BTW: "Invest it" is an incomplete answer. For those who would invest it, specify what you would invest it in.)

If you're already a billionaire, I doubt that there is anything that you don't have already that could be had for a paltry 10 mil.

This thread is not even hypothetical for me. I've made the clear decision that I won't accumulate any wealth beyond 100 Mil USD. all the wealth that I would have beyond that limit will be spent immideately on lavish parties, philantropy, things I always wanted to do, A private jet fighter, etc.

If I was just given 10Mil USD, I'd probably retire, anyway.

I would never be a billionaire. I'd do things with the money before I got that much. Homes for the poor , that sort of thing. A single million would last me the rest of my days and provide for my wife. More than enough.

The additional 10 million I'd do the same sort of thing.

I thought there was a maximum amount you could get under the tax cut?

Anyway, I would probably give it away. Having 10mil in taxe cut means that you already have an income of about 200 mil a years so who needs it. I'd probably buy the rain forest and keep it for my self to be untouched.

If I have 100Mil, I probably have a successful large-sized bussiness running. That's bound to generate more profit. The 100 Mil go for some Israeli Govt. Bonds that pay very well, and should keep me supplied with around 8-10 Mil on a yearly basis. the excess ( ) money from the bussiness ( that I won't run, I'll let it be done by a manager, or something, If he screws it up, I wouldn't care less, really. I'll probably warn him that I'll hire a hitman if he makes the bussiness crash or something. ) is used to build excellent schools in my name, building for my university, fund medical research, buy a large private island, build a runway on it, and a luxurious house. buy a de-commissioned Russian fighter jet, and hire maintenance to patch it up, regularly.

I've got some more hedonistic, and decadent plans for the money, but that is for another time.

Generally, I REALLY don't see what can drive people to make more money that the 500Mil USD limit. This can cover ALL of your possible expences, COMPLETELY WHATEVER YOU WISH.

I would hope to be as virtuous as Lancer but if ol' averice jumps on my head, I would either:

a) Check with my stockbroker and find undervalued American stocks. While the current downturn is worldwide, I believe the American economy will be the first to pick up and will pull the rest of the world behind it (as we buy more stuff). By buying American stocks, I will be putting my money in where the recovery will first occur.

b) Find some successful mom-&-pop restaurant capible of being franchised and buy out the owners. Restaurants are always hit hard during recessions. If one has survived in this economy, it must be a good one. And if its franchisable, once the economy picks up, its plan for success can be endlessly repeated. Why be a mere billionaire, when you can be a double billionaire?

Now I got it.. I'd throw the BEST party EVER! Only to my friends though. I'd pair them up and give them maps and hints, like treasure map. It would take almost a week to find the party place, they'd have to travel all around the world, expenses on me. Everytime they reach another check point, they'd get new instructions. But it would be fun to do, search and travel. They'd have to do things like scuba diving, sky diving, get horribly drunk, go to famous places.. etc in order to get new clues. It would be cool, because I'd be able to put up really good stuff for them. And every pair would have different things, countries and things to do! So after it's over, they could exchange stories and experiences. And when they reach the final destination.. the BEST party of all times is waiting them and goes 24/7 for 3 straight days.

Or I could hire a small group of elite mercs to give me intel info on Saddam/Osama, take my sniper rifle and spend a day in nice ambush.

for 10Mill, An assault chopper is a great investment. Esp, since it's better than a tank. many of them can be flown by a single pilot, and you just don't get this in a tank.
