Or sometime War tries the opposite strat. He tells you how great his opening is. GOLD, whales, silk, pheasants, huts, non-units, nomads. It's so good, you have already lost so a restart is in order. It's always very convincing. BUT, the last time, I opened a save later..................hmmmm,

In duels... I believe what is told me if I'm playing with somebody I trust. As war says, a fair start is critical to a fun game.

When it comes to 3 or 4 person games... I take every comment with a grain of salt

However... when I say THIS BLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWS!" you should trust me

I always count the number of "W"s on Ming. The more "W" the more likely he's yanking our chain.

I always have to chuckle when the person has two cities down in the first two turns and is claiming that the land sucks so bad so they just settled to get it over with. Hmm lots of time to exploring, "2". Even with hutfinder, it takes at least three turns to discover it it's that bad. (unless you're on a one wide peninsula.)
