You are not a master yet young FP.

Just think of all the posts you could have made in clues after thinking of a game.

I don't think it's necessary to actually be the quizmaster of a round in order to get [+1] opportunities. As I believe we are now ably demonstrating.

You're up Nikolai.

OK

Year: Mid 90's
An artillery combat game. Can be played with up to nine players at a time, mixing humans and AI. If you win, you can buy better weapons(some are quite devastating), guidance systems and defence systems.

The game is freeware, and is made for DOS. You have one tank for each player, and the goal is to kill the other tanks by finding the right angle and shooting power. This is however, affected by wind, that changes for each turn.

I don't have a release date for Scorched Earth though, but I remember playing it in 1993, and at that time it was already old (As far as I know)

I remember playing Schorced Earth on my Amiga, within a year of buying that computer... I played that game alot, until Charr came out (a much better version of Scorched Earth)... I got the Amiga in 1993 (January to be exact)

Put an end to popups!

Scorched Tanks was released in 1994, so it seems like it actually was a new game, as I played it first time... I was told different (and back then I didn't understand english)...

Ok since you're all big fairy wusses I'll do another:

Early 90s..........Amiga.

In this game, you take on the role of a young peasant. You were most recently employed as a beater for the king's hunting party. One night, the king receives a note from a bedraggled messenger, requesting the king's services to help stamp out an uprising led by a young enchantress in the remote village of Turnvale. As the king's men depart on their horses to ride to the rescue, your pony follows them, and you are unwittingly dragged along to the battle. When your party arrives at Turnvale, they are confronted not by an ordinary peasant uprising, but rather by a band of fierce, inhuman hired mercenaries - the Skorl. The king's men are defeated and the king is killed. In the process, you are flung from your mount and wind up on the ground unconscious. The Skorl take you prisoner, tossing you into the local dungeon. So begins your quest to rid Turnvale of the Skorl menace, and defeat the enchantress.

Here's another:

Spectrum (and other similar platforms).......late 80s.

Are you a rebel without a cause? Well, here's one that'll keep you on a knife edge for months to come. Imagine's effort is a new breed of game, a type of gutsy, streetfighting action movie set in the gangland ghettoes in which you play the starring role - a tough martial arts expert. Based on the chart topping coin-op by Taito, its pure violence in graphic detail is a must for all closet reprobates (like FP).
