The last time I had to do that... I warned people before the game started that I would need a break... and after breaking every speeding limit, and runnnig a few lights, I was back in less than 15 minutes

This hasn't happened recently, but I hate when you're playing with someone and you get off to a good start and someone (about an hour into the game) remembers that they had made plans to do something else and says. "gotta go". It never seems to happen to someone that got off to a good start.

Don't lie, just say the truth, "I got off to a crappy start, so I feel like a six year old and I'm quiting."

I won't name names, but the excuse was that they had promised their kids to take them to a specific movie. Being a father myself, I refuse to believe that you could just forget something like that, since my daughter would be reminding me every 30 minutes on the day in question.
