Just played the second turn, unfortunately our gamble didn't pay off, though nothing bad occurred, so nothing was lost. The pod has mineral resources, and another one to the north revealed one more monolith.

We're currently producing a Scout Patrol (2 turns until completion), because pop. growth will occur in 9 turns, and it would take 8 turns to complete a Colony Pod.

One colony pod is moving north, and another west (towards the rainy side of the mountain).

And we are currently researching Centauri Ecology in order to get formers ASAP. In the mean time we need to decide on the tech that will follow. Granted we do have time to plan, and by the time we have to decide we will have a more complete map of our surroundings.

It looks like there might be a bit more Xenofungus in the North then would be healthy. Perhaps we should concentrate on a South West expansion?

The game will shortly be restarted from 2102

To deal with several issues, the game will be restarted (same start positions) with a new password. Before posting this in a thread in this forum, I'm awaiting MarkG's confirmation that General Tacitus (who currently is listed as a co-Moderator of these private forums) will be blocked from all but the Uni (he's a member of that team)

The replay shouldn't take long - I'll be checking to ensure that moves are identical (subject to a possibly different podpop result)

Let's get the restarted turn up to date while we're waiting for MarkG.

We'll do it like a regular PBEM - I'll e-mail the passwords to the turnplayer with instructions to send the turn on by e-mail to the next in line.

Don't post the passwords in your private forums until MarkG's confirmation.

If it stalls, one option would be for me to play all the already played turns using the new passwords (as I have copies of all the turns to date)

But I'd rather an official faction player got a perhaps different podpop result than have me notifying him of it
