	Poly meet set for August of 2003. Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

As previously decided in threads here and here the next poly meet will be held next August in the San Diego/Tijuana area.

So the next question becomes which weekend in August would be best for everyone and what sort of activities is everyone interested in doing? The previous two threads have a few good links detailing popular attractions on both the U.S. and Mexican sides of the border. So come on folks let's brain storm and make this 'poly meet one to remember!

I'm toying with the idea, but I honestly don't know if I'll have the ability to come. It is a good $500 trip for me

Aug. 9-10 would work best, I believe, but since I'm only a 25% chance, I wouldn't consider that too heavily.

Whether or not I'll be there in August depends on if I land a job down there in the next month. With that said, I'd come back to montana in mid-august, so I vote for the 1st weekend.

Ixnay: Check out SanDiegoJobs.com and www.signonsandiego.com as both of them have lots of local job listings. What sort of job are you looking for? I lived in SD for 22 years so I might be able to send you in the right direction.

Being a computer science major, any computer-related job would be ideal. My attempts at landing an internship down there this year were no good, unfortunately.

I will not be abled to attend due to the location and the lack of transportation. There is still a slim chance of say 30%, but no more.

August 16-17 would be most preferable.

Sava, are you going to travel by plane at all between now and the end of summer? If so just volinteer to get bumped and use the free ticket you get to go to the poly meet.

P.S. I may be able to get a couple of people to stay with me at my relatives house but I'd have to ask them first. Normally, they're pretty cool with stuff like that though.

BTW The poll is set to close seven days after it opened so next Sunday night is the deadline. Let's get those votes in before then.

I've heard rumors of War4ever meeting with the twins sometime this summer, but I haven't been able to get a response out of them, not that I've tried very hard. Worst comes to worst, we can always get together somewhere. IIRC, you're in Dupage County, right?

the trip for me won't be too bad financially. Maybe $40 to $60 on gas, possibly less depending on gas prices (I want to avoid getting gas in California- too expensive). And whatever a hotel room costs. If I want to go real cheap I can just bring my camping stuff .

And assorted drinking costs. And if we go to tijuana I may have to check out the red light district
