Most topics seem to be slightly less extreme here. The whole abortion thing is pretty much a non-issue here. Most of the religious stuff is very subtle, something personal not something to preach to others. There are exceptions to all that as well of course.

There's more resistence in the Black community to Black-white relationships than from the white community these days, for a whole host of reasons. Bunnygrrl and I have had more dirty looks from Black people than from white folks. Among our family, though, only my grandmother seemed to have any problem with it. My grandfather was more upset about our living together unmarried.
