I will make every effort to have Apolyton the supreme power. Power through Streignth, Power though building, Power through Jungle clearing.

I have quite an amount of Demo experiance, with the SPDG and the PTWDG. I helped Apolyton become the major power in the SPDG. I can do the same in this game.

I micromanage to a T and love doing it. I have a spreadsheet that I can plan up to a long time in the future (my first cut shows Mingapulco building a warrior, 6 NM's and a settler before turn 100).

Let's make our team the greatest around.

hmm, I guess I need to make a speach...

Basically, I have two goals:

1. Jungle clearing. I have produced several plans concerning our initial clearing of the jungle. I plan to weigh the pros and cons of each of them, consulting those of us who like the domestic side of things. I hope to present a good compromise between military mobility and commerce.

2. Building our military for the expected CDG invasion. I anticipate conferencing with the Consul of War about how many forces we will need and when we will need them.

My credentials include being the current Consul of Internal Affairs for the Glory of War team, as well as being a regional advisor for a couple terms in the SPDG 1.

I plan to include the public in discussions about what we will do to our interior. I would:

-Definatly be open to suggestions from anyone.
-Hold polls on various issues with different solutions, ie the jungle clearing
-Produce expected queues for every city and worker, post them, and encourage discussion about them.
-Ballence domestic and military concerns, not alienating anyone.

These are several of my current ideas.

I will work to keep the average ISDG member informed as to what to expect, not just in the short run, but the long run, too.

I will provide Information and regular threads for discussion. I well poll on issues. Polling will atleast allow the silent majority of our population to speak their mind on various topics.

I'll look for suggestions and maybe start the RA system up soon, depending on how many cities we get up soon.

There is a lot I can try (and that's all we can really do to get more people to participate, but to try diffeent things) and I hope that they are effective in increasing the participation of our population.

So will I. I like the idea of polling, mainly because some people don't have a very opinionated argument, or their side has been argued by so many that stating their opinion would be redundant. I also like the idea of posting queues for each city, so everyone can see what city builds what when. This idea can also be transferred to the use of workers. Unfortunatly, most of my ideas for workers have been behind closed doors so to speak in the Glory of War forum; but those who are authorized there can attest to my worker plans. I try to keep at least a 10 turn queue for the workers, and hopefully longer if I am appointed Minister.

In my humble opinion, I believe that the Regional Advisor system at this particular point would not benefit the team domestically. I think that the only benefit we could derive from it is having more people involved, which can be a good thing. The problem is that we will likely only have a very manageable number of cities for the near future, until after the CDG invasion. Each city's production will be vitally important, and in my opinion, it is better to have queues written out and commented upon by the public than have Regional Advisors at this stage of the game.

I hope the same thing. I had noticed that not many people were participating, with me being one of them. As being one who was previously veiled with obscurity in this forum, I understand the opinions and wishes of this so-called "silent majority".

Also, to those who have voted for me: please don't feel put off that I likened you to s; the was simply supposed to be a satirical response to E_T's "Minister of the Interior candidate for the Future" signature on several previous posts.

Interesting... I must say that I find both intriguing. Have been leaning toward E-T, but panzer got me thinking there with that last post... 'silent majority' is a good point.

I don't take no Trip....

Seriously, I take what he has to say with as much emphasis as anyone else. But, I don't think that he will be lacking in the military nessessities, so I can let him blow some steam and then work at getting the job done.

I've seen some of the arguments that he and Dominae have had and I can tell you that I'm fairly thick skinned when it comes to that. Simulations are nice, so are my spreadsheets, but knowing how to get things cranking out as efficiently as possible takes a bit more finness than I think that Trip is capable of. There are just somethings that you can't similate, you can only guess. And you can't say for certain what someone else will do in 80 turns time, but you can plan that they will try to do their best and just do better.

As for this whole simulation business, I feel that it gives us a general idea of when we should attack CDG, but it cannot give us specifics. I frankly don't care if CDG starts out with 10 or 15 units. The real question is their domestic economy. Personally, I feel that people should just lay off Trip. He's trying to do his job.

What I expect to deal with Trip is mainly the date of the invasion, and what he needs for numbers of troops. I would attempt to meet this as I feel it is our priority to claim the CDG lands.

Please work close together, the Ideas of both are very good. I found it hard to choose, because I know that both have done good jobs in the future, that's why the winner and the loser of this election should work close together.

I hope that both candidates remain involved in MoI discussions, and that we also keep BFM and Dominae interested as well, among others.

That being said, only one may be entrusted with the responsibilities to provide timely advise to the consuls, therefore the consuls must name one MoI. I am very happy that the consuls can agree with the people and I hereby appoint E_T to the post of Minister of the Interior.
