	Avril's "Sk8r Boi" to become a movie Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

I think they should make a movie out of Avril's cover of SoaD's "Chop Suey" next. That movie could be titled "Father! Why have you forsaken me?"

Come to think of it, this movie could be titled that, too.

I'm a bit worried though. I mean the way that article is written it sounds like the film is from the perspective of the girl who doesn't go out with the Boi because of what her friends said. In the song Avril's character, the one who's going out with the Sk8er Boi once he gets famous doesn't even enter the picture until the third verse.
If they follow the standard hollywood teen movie rules it would mean that in the end the girl realises her mistake and the boy forgives her and they end up together. The way things turn out in the song there's no chance for redemption for the first girl. She's lost the Sk8er Boi for ever. I just hope the writers keep the stark reality of the situation from the song and don't candy coat the ending to make it more pallatable.
