1. Do we have elite warriors ? We may want to consider upgrading them into Swordmen first instead of upgrading the newly-built veteran warrior at Mingapulco.

There is no benefit from upgrading Elites over upgrading veterans, as an upgraded Elite drops down to Veteran status. The Elites we have (even Warriors) will mix with our main forces in the hope of attacking a badly wounded unit, so we can have a chance of getting a GL from an Elite battle. The odds are slim, yes, but more than zero.

2. We had been sending our NMs to fight barbarian to gain promotion. Are we planning to send our upgraded Swordmen too to fight against barbarian to become elite Swordmen ? Elites will enhance our chances against CDG and getting a leader.
|
A good idea, but it is one that will depend on how much time we think we can afford between getting these Swords and having to group them for the attack. Where possible, of course we should do this.

3. Have we identified which Swordmen/warrior/NM we are going to bring to the batterfield against CDG ? This may be a bit early, but will allow us to properly plan their individual training (ie fight barbarian) and movement plan for these units ?
|
I would think we don't need to do this, but instead we should just aim to have as many "train" with Barbs as possible. The Vet/Elite units would be the ones that go to fight preferentially over Regs. Earlier built units would have a greater chance of reaching Elite status vs Barba than later built units, so these would be more likely to be in the battles. Not many will reach Elite status anyway, as there won't be all THAT many Barbs for practice on.

4. How about building a road to the North and/or East so that our barbarian fighters can retreat back to defend our homeland/attack CDG faster ? |
Also a good idea worth looking at, if we can afford the worker turns. I think in his analyses E_T professed an uncertainty to what all the Workers would be doing, so we may be able to swing this. For the moment it's our economic development, but when we have a few more Workers we should look to do this wherever we can.

Turn 63: 1450 BC
MOW Summary:
Our military is:
Weak compared with CDG
Weak compared with GCA
Average compared with CFC
CDG has relented some, and we're withdrawing our Warrior screen some for that reason along with the fact that they could destroy it without us knowing. We continue our buildup.
- NM2 'Mao' will move 2 (S).
Still looking for that barb camp.
- NM3 'Apolyton' will move to Bananatopia.
New unit. Making sure our defense is spread out.
- NM4 'Incensity' will move to Apolyton and fortify.
New unit. Making sure our defense is spread out.
- W2 'BigFree' will move 8 (N).
BF will continue along the path to home.
- W3 'Alva' will move 6 (E).
Alva is also hunting barbs. After checking the last black tile, Alve will move to check the tile 9-9-9 from Tripoli.
- W4 'Theseus' will skip his turn (spacebar).
Theseus is in place as part of the Warrior screen.
- W5 'BFW' will move 8 (N).
Since we can't watch the chokepoint any more, might as well scout the area out more fully.
- W7 'WhiteBandit' move 9 (NE).
WB comprises the western part of the Warrior screen, which we have to move in order to make sure that CDG can't take it out.
- W9 'X' move 8 (N).
Target barb camp.
- W10 '?' fortify in Mingapulco.
Ready for upgrade. Just shuffling units around and hunting camps at the moment.
