Basically, we are going to invade RP in 12-15 turns. We are still unsure what we want with the Vox conflict, because it looks like they are going to lose. The consensus seems to be to inform GS that we're mercenaries (but not tell them of whom) and we have committed to 4 more units. Don't treat those units as GoW units. We might be able to pull a "Vox" by getting Vox to come under our protection for a bit - then we assimilate their membership so we have more active personnel.

Diplomatic summary:

- RP war being planned and on course. Two chats with ND held during the last two weeks. Next one to be held next thursday

- Vox getting its butt kicked against GS

- We're scheming up a major juggling act to get GS neutral during the RP war

- Stirring up dissent between GS and RP to get them on our side at least "morally".

Sounds like we need a "smoking gun" or at least very logical reasoning for proof that Roleplay is supporting Vox and trying to weaken GS.

RP is providing their own smoking gun.

Vox have lost their Iron.
Roleplay is giving them theirs.
GS will declare war against RP.

I'm not so sure that GS will declare war on RP after the disastrous PR hit GS inflicted upon themselves with that thread, I think that even though there may be a war of words, I doubt a formal declaration of war will be in place.

However, that will most likely mean GS will at least give moral support or be neutral during our RP adventure.

If you read Shibers post .. I think they will declare war,
just to blockade the Vox port.

But will "declare war" on RP just so the Iron cant get through.

Shiber's post indicated, that they would do it, because the game mechanics force them to do it. They actually have no intention to go killing RP (or any team that gives Vox Iron). But they believe that there is a flaw in the game mechanics that forces them to artificially declare war so their blockade works.

I was just told a few moments ago that RP will land a galley in Estonia next turn. If GS sees those troops I guess there will be war

(don't you hate it when other teams do your dirty work by themselves? )

At this point I see our best option as:

1) Tell GS the truth, that Vox gave us a great deal to send 6 units to help them against GS in return for really great deal on Engineering and other perks.

2) Let GS know that RP encouraged us and offer to attack RP for GS so that GS can concentrate on Vox. Make it sound as if we never had any intention of attacking RP but will do so in order to teach them a lesson for GS.

Basically I had discussed the situation with H_E the other day in the chat room and we both reached the same conclusions:

- We fulfill our committment to Vox but we inform GS about it (number of troops, deal, etc.) and we simply tell them fair and square that it had been a signed deal, and that GoW doesn't break deals. We are already doing a service to GS by informing them of our intervention, and we tell them that if those units are taken out, no hard feelings on our part. Hopefully their "honor code" will make them understand why we don't break the treaty and that might actually swing them a little in our favor

- Though we may feed crap to GS about RP, I don't think it is wise to inform them of the war until it has been launched, or perhaps one turn before it is launched. If they buy the idea we are doing it as a favor to GS, then they are very VERY stupid but at least it'll gravitate them towards our camp a little.


Basically the idea we want to convey towards GS is that we are honoring our deals, bla bla bla. As long as they don't sniff a backstabbing, it's all cool, and they'll respect us for it (and keep reminiding them we honored the no-trade clause... bla bla bla)
