I think your right. People see black on black violence and just think "well, what's new" but when they see a black dictator instituting racist policies against whites then everyone gets upset. Not that they've been upset enough to actually do anything about it.

Part of that, though, is that realists STILL are in the majority in the state department, the DoD and elsewhere. Many government guys think we should simply defend 'our' interests and forget about anything else. This tends to kill the lets liberate ideology, because they eventually lose out to the realists that say let's pull out because staying here isn't in our interest.

I do agree though that we should enlist the aid of the international community more often in setting up a nice democratic state, but that tends to be very difficult and almost impossible... because most of them disagreed with the mount.

Mugabe and his ZANU-PF political "party" are brutal thugs and racist crypto-national socialists bent on the destruction of Rhodesia's white population.

Mugabe, in all respects, is a terrorist. If you don't believe me, read up on the Air Rhodesia terrorist bombings in the 1970's.

Remember that it was Ian Smith that agreed to power-sharing and allowing blacks to vote. Mugabe has reversed this process and has turned now "Zimbabwe" into a backwards state like other African countries.

Mugabe should be removed and crushed.

It is hard to imagine a western attack on Zimbabwe in order to remove Mugabe. Right next to Zimbabwe, in Congo, Hell on Earth is happening with massive starvation, massacres, refugee flows, tribal warfare and cannibalism (all strings being pulled by neighbouring countries including Zimbabwe) and the international community has just decided to send a measly 1400 troops there.

Zimbabwe would have to step on western's interests in Congo bigtime for the west to react and attack the country
