	Do you have more respect for an actress who refuses to do nude scenes? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

Many of them won't do nude scenes because it is degrading or they don't want people to lose respect for their acting ability.

But I don't really care what their acting ability is, I want to see them naked. I think every actress should be required to do a nude scene . Well except the fat ones.

Although now days they use body doubles so much, you don't know if you are seeing the real thing.

Most of them do come around. Hey Halle Berry finally came around (swordfish, Monster's Ball)

I really don't care.

Nude scenes don't substitute for story, for example. Likewise, refusing nudity does not make up for lack of talent.

Concerning the whole requiring hot actresses to do nude scences... I vote we get that to be a law within a year, so were ready to go on the Olsen Twins 18th birthday.... one more year to go

For what it's worth, all the nude scenes I have seen in films are gratuitous. Nothing is lost if you cut them out.

depends. Some are not comfortable wit it dont find it necessarily for "artistic" purpose, fine.

But some that take it all off cause they think it will promote the movie in a tasteful artistic way, fine

Some that take it all off for eye-catching softcore porn purposes, thats fine too

Either way I respect 'em - it's the ones who do too many nude scenes that get to me (in a bad way). Think Alyssa Milano. I do and I instantly think "sl*t".

I respect good actresses. As was stated, the leevl of clothing hey are wearing is immateril to their acting abilities. If someone is naked playing a nun, that is bad acting (and directing and writing), but if somoene is naked as a prostitute different matter.

And yes I concur, Natalie Portman needs to do a nude scene. She needs to talk to Halley Berry about that.

Yes there are: what about a scene between the interactions between a husband and a wife who were in the middle of copulation? or a scene in a shower between two people who had been planning to copulate?

People are sometimes naked. Just becuase of that, you will see naked people on screen.

That's not true. Aside from the obvious erotic 'points', you can have other cases... rape, humility in a prison environment, casualness or being care-free (probably not describing this feeling well), ect...

While I suppose you could do all that without any nudity... it just wouldn't be the same.
