My suggestion for Civ3 style citizens Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I agree the citizen mood would be nice, but they could bring back houses but not for population growth but like the University you can fill it with entertainers, taxmen, and may additional new citizens like businessmen, etc. ANd you could have civilian uprising by either war weariness or the length of the workday. It would be great if you had to put down riots and great if you can develop your cities more to be sprawling cities. Just a suggestion...for RoN2

hehe...

Personally.. thats to much management to deal with.

I just got this game about 4 days ago. I only read 2 previews way back when, and had no idea what to expect.

Heres what I thought happend in this game:
-There were no 'worker/civilian' units. You built stuff ala Command and Conqure. (click on build barracks. wait 30 seconds, then you are allowed to place it)
-When you wanted to build something, you clicked your 'city' and in the little menu there (like where the build civilian button is) and then click one of several things, like "Expand to next size; add barracks; add university; etc" I didnt know we had to build each building seperatley, and with little villagers.
- The pop limit would be much higher
- Battles were more strategic, and not click fest mania.

I still like the game.. reminds me of my golden days back with Age of Kings....

My suggestion for RoN2? ... ditch the villagers.

IMHO, the cnc interface sucks so bad, I am glad they don't use it again in future game.

I had also hoped that cities and villagers would be different.
Firstly, that your pop limit would be controlled by the number and size of your cities.
Second, it would be a lot like Civ and over time you would get free citizens who would be generated at the city and be tied to the city, though you could take some out and send them to another city that could hold them, like you would with settlers. Workers would literally be 'garrisoned' in a city, but they'd still be out there walking around gathering resources. Eventually, cities would hit a cap based on its size, food production, etc.

I play Civ3 if I want to play Civ3.
I play RoN if I want to play RoN.

Why do people want to make RoN Civ3 when Civ3 does Civ3 perfectly.

My sentiments exactly! CIV III is cheap now, pick up a copy if that's what you want.
