Yup, after being at Apolyton for exactly 1 year and keeping a pretty low profile for most of that, I was finally banned... interesting anniversary...

I was curious of who else is in the club? Who else has been banned? How many times? What did you do? Share your stories, and be judged

Kramerman, I have been banned once. It was only a little time ago and I got restricted for one week. It was horrible . It was about DL (Tito1000) I made.. It wasn't very funny, I just had 'my own' fun, not thinking about other people...

Kramerman, I can't either.. it's not my style. I guess I was desperate of trying new and different things. Like base jumping. I just chose to try out Tito1000 first.

I got banned on one occasion for posting a pic of Saudi Arabia getting nuked. About 3 weeks after I posted it, MtG just saw it and banned me. I was quite surprised, but it was only for a few days.

well, in short i got in a scuffle with che. i dont want to whine or criticize ming, so ill just say i called che a name and was banned.

the craziest part tho was the correspondance that followed for the next couple days between me and ming. i was really upset at the time, not about being banned ( i coulda cared less about that, i needed a break from 'poly anyway) but over the circumstances. It was very, very frustrating, like the feeling when being falsely accused (but that wasnt the case, just similar feeling) Oh well, cares seem to fade with time...

that doesnt seem very fair seems like a warning and removing the pic would be all thats waranted for that... unless of course you arent telling the whole story

Nah, that's the whole story, but considering how obnoxious I am, I'm sure that it was a culmination of things. I see most people complaining about the mods and how they are unfair, etc, but I've only been warned and subsequently banned for things I've deserved. Again, as obnoxious as I am, I think the mods demostrate great restraint.

true, ive done stuff before that was pretty bad and maybe i got a wanring. they do show great restraint I think that what was what was partly why it was so frustrating for me when i actually was banned, was that i was used to the restraint.

I was banned for a week for admitting to all of my DL's.

Although I had left for a month anyways. When I came back, I had to request my login be reinstated.

BTW this thread is toast- and you may bet banned again

Back in the day- 2000 and before, you could create all sorts of DL's real easy and not be noticed.

People are more observant of settlers now.

But I implemented them slowly and made them out to be real posters. I did not spam or troll with them until they were "established". I tried to flesh out personalities and even nationalities for them (Barfasm I made to be French to counter Blacktides- french hatred).

Although this isn't the case with all of them. Some of them I did create to be spammers. Ass Clown is one example.

that's all I can remember right now. I also had some logins that were "real" posters. There was no name change feature back then, so I created these names because I got bored of my old names.

This is why my login is Feb2000, when I have been here since May of 1999.

The mods felt that even though I admitted to all of my DL's in the Apolyton/Community forum. They felt that there were just too many DL's for me to go unpunished. I suffered a 50% PCR and a 1 week ban.

no, im a much lesser known permabanned person, the 1212 problem. I spammed the community forum to high heaven in retaliation for black saturday.

basicly 20 some apolytoners got banned for replying to an open thread because ming said that he would ban anyone that replied. this begs the question though, why would he leave it open if he didnt want anyone to reply? my thinking is he was just looking for a quick power trip.
