While it sometimes degenerated into a spam fest, there was still a lot of legitimate comments referring to MP ettiguette.

I like to come by and just have a look at the opening comments and see whether or not i approve.....

My biggest pet peeve is having to play with a suspect connection, and right now a suspect registry...

my internet works in spurts, not a good thing for 6 hour games

yeah, i just never went back to fix it .......but i saw it a week or so ago and though, "dumbarse thats not what you meant to say"

but waaaaaaaay to lazy and busy to fix it....but now you know.'

taking posession of the place on the 15th, paint three rooms on the 16-17, move the following weekend and hopefully everything will be set to go around then

I really don't care, I just want to be able to have you in the game for the whole night without worrying when you're going to drop. And the worst part is that when you drop know, that's usually it for the night.

Seriously War............the problems you have boggle the mind. I would suggest you ignored my advice about firewalls before, but that probably isn't behind your intermittent connection.

Check if other people who use your ISP face these problems or not. Do you check to see whether you can ping sites when you drop in the civ game?

a connection is a connection, if i can't get internet after a few tries..i just give up now....

its not like i don't have a firewall and a router for my puter now....

i am sure its some sort of wiring....

my latest issue has nothing to do with it though, its about a bad registry due to something i dl'ed off kazaa.... this i know for fact

I just surprised that if it's a registry issue, why does it quit in the middle of the game. I would think that if you could start, it's not a registry issue.

True. You may well have these issues, but they are not the problem with dropping.

I'm suspicious because you seem to have many outages but rarely if ever before a game begins. You also don't mention outages at other times when just surfing.

If it wasn't you War I'd quietly believe you were just making excuses for quitting. Since we can rule that out I am pretty stumped.

Yes...... i drop when winning or losing and i am not the type to start a game i have no intention of finishing..no matter how hot the girl is.

i am at a loss....its so frustrating....its like i am on dial up but can't reconnect when boooted...???????

they have given me free months of service..they are at a loss as well....

there have been techies, my friends whom are techies...all of your advice, a new computer , etc.....its driving me crazy.....

my only solice is to switch isp's when i move and hope that this will clear up any issues...

as for the registry issue, mom made a surprise visit and i have my disk...

so unless the isp screws up ( hahaha i have said this before) i should be good to go...

looking at friday but no saturday game for me

Doubtful, since cracks were so simple back then...........and it really looks like a conn problem.

But if it were me I'd try everything anyway.
