Also the side-walks was amazingly clean with none of the usual scraps of trash, paper, bottles, plastic beer cups, cigarettes, and roach clips... but the weird **** was that there was no public trash cans out on the street! even in philly, we got them all over and though they never really get emptied by the city, they are at least there... and still, our streets are dirty as hell... but over there, there are no trash cans yet the streets are clean?!

The reusable silver plates and cristal glasses reduce considerably the need for public trash cans. This makes possible to affirmatively allot more public trash cans than their fair share to those who prefer the use of plastic beer cups and paper plates.

the police didn't kick you out and say to get back to your side of town

sorry couldn't resist.

It's best to resist the bitterness towards rich people. That is what I try to do. It doesn't always work, but usually I can resist the bitterness I feel.

And if you go in the better neighborhoods in my city you will find plenty of minorities. My brother lives in a $200,000 + house, and there are mexicans next door. I think 5 or 6 of them live there to help pay for the thing, but they live there. There are plenty of minorities in the good areas on the west side of town (the better side of town where I live). I live on the east side of town.

When I lived in the 'burbs outside San Francisco, we had 18 big pinetrees in our back yard.

Made a huge spider problem, the pest control people came like once a month...

How can I be one of your favorite posters if you are going to indisciminately hate me for where I live?

Btw, I built the treehouse and launching platform. It's not like you can buy the things.

Ok, so you're into conforming then? If you're into not conforming, then why are you ragging on the suburbs? They're the height of conformity. You're the rebel here.

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

All that non-comformists do is conform away from the mean, you know? But they still conform.

It's kinda like a bunch of townies *****in' about frat-boys because "they're all the same." Oh, yeah? How exactly is that different from their group where all of them have the same political views, the same tastes in drugs, the same music acts, and the same torn clothes as every other member of the "townie" set?

Ahhh... college days. When you realize it's just like high school, only bigger.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Monolith:

what i mean is... alright take all that punk rock music from the suburbs... with all those songs going like, "I'm going to commit suicide because I don't want to be the person society forces me to be"... well they make these songs a lot more fake intellectual sounding but thats the gist of it... i hate that bullshit... there's nothing wrong with positive conforming... conformity with a church community for example prevents people from doing drugs... negative conforming is an entirely different story though.

but the point is... i dont care about the issue of conformity as much as how these bourgeious tout on about how they are forced to live the good life and ****... it's like they got no problems in their life so they got to play the enslaved conformists or the crazy rebel

I love spiders, every time there is a spider big enough to terrify my mother I just pick it up and throw it outside. Spiders get rid of flies. I dislike flies. That makes spiders friends of mine

Albert:

The Athens, GA definition is:

A college student who doesn't like to bathe or where new clothes (danky t-shirt and torn jean shorts are the in-clothes), thinks him/herself a free-wheeling Leftist rebel (they'll bore you to tears with their horror stories of The Poor Bunny in the Cosmetics Factory), hates anything that is popular with people they don't like, and generally are proud of their non-conforming conformity.

Kurt Cobain was the prototypical townie - an insider who acted so hard to be an outsider that they really didn't understand how "in" they were.

In other areas, "Townies" are just those kids who didn't go to college after they graduated. Since U. of GA was so big, the term mutated to that above.

Tired of ads?

Albert: That sounds EXACTLY like my town . It's very nice. About 60 miles from Philly (Jersey Shore). We got a big lawn, and we have some guys come and cut it every week. We never fought on whose lawn to play, we just picked one and played.

Suburbs are wonderful things . In Georgia I live in a suburb (like the kind you describe) that is only a few miles from the city. It's why I love Atlanta .

Nah, Belleville Congregational Church. Me and one other guy are the only people in it who use marijuana, I think. But we still conform with the church, in that we go, and believe, and have faith. I don't think god cares if you light up. If god didn't want you to smoke, he wouldn't have created marijuana.

You will not succeed; we had, before the metric system, a unit called arpent which defined about the same surface as the acre. And this is why the title of a a novel from Caldwell was appropriately translated : les petits arpents du Bon Dieu.
