I'm sure that all the posters in here, if they were famous, wealthy, good-looking 22-year old NBA players, who were out on the road constantly with groupies grabbing your ass wherever you went, would totally be able to resist temptation to save it for the little women.

Especially if you go out drinking with the guys... which you will. Especially if you are invited to the best clubs, the hottest spots, of any city that you are in.

Now, talk all you want about the charge - guilty or non-guilty, whatever, but don't tell me that if you were in Kobe's shoes you wouldn't, well, maybe just this once.

I will admit there is the .00009% possibility this ***** is telling the truth, but I doubt that.

I want to see Kobe win the case, then win the subsequent civil lawsuit brought against him by this woman.

And then I want to see Kobe sue this woman for falsely acccusing him. I want him to take everything she has. I want to see her live in the streets and be forced to be a crack whore to survive.

one interesting thing is they did decide to prosecute based on the interviews of health care workers who examined her.

That worries me, maybe there is something there. Maybe she had some marks on her body- though she could have inflicted those marks herself.

I can see where you're coming from. It doesn't make it right to cheat on his wife, but you've got a point.

I just can hardly understand the motive. It seems to be a one-night stand, so hardly any emotions can be involved, now why would he force sex on her? I am sure he's got girls all over him anyway.

Azazel, there are just some mean people out there who wouldn't mind taking Kobe down a few notches for $500,000. This woman might be one of them.

looks like the Mike Tyson case all over again... but something tells me the Kobe will come across better that Mikey, and save the day. This looks like a set up for a civil suit, because the criminal case will probably go nowhere.

Bigfoot comes accross better than Mike Tyson

One is a clean cut basketball player who doesn't have a violent reputation.

The other is a dirty boxer with one helluva violent reputation- and he grew up in the mean streets of philadelphia (I think it was philly)

remember he came out of high school. he never learned about having fun in college like other people do.

and despite what an earlier poster said, the NBA has a horrible indocrination program. Not as bad as the NFL's, but still not good. They don't teach these kids how to conduct themselves properly.

Kobe was estranged from his father over his marriage to the women. Don't know the exact details but they have not been on speaking terms for a couple of years..

Well my thoughts:
innocent until proven guilty. It's not Kobe's job to prove he's innocent, it's the prosecutions job to prove that beyond a reasonable doubt that he raped her. If there is a reasonable doubt that he is innocent, the law says that the jury must find him innocent.
