Fezzy, you can't blanketly call a source unreliable just because of their editorial opinions on an issue. If that were the case, we'd have no reliable news sources in the world. Arguably, we don't... but for the purposes of debate... we do. and however much you may want to throw the editors of the BBC out of helicopters, the BBC is funded by the British government. Who, BTW, was pro-War. I think it speaks volumes for the credibility of a news source if it is government funded, yet critical and in opposition of the same government's policies.

My point was that even if the BBC isn't credible (which it is credible), this story is mainstream... you can find Rumsfeld's comments on every major news network's website. It isn't a BBC exclusive. So unless your issue is with the mainstream media not being credible (which I might agree with) you shouldn't worry about the BBC's credibility. If you think I'm lying about Rummy, then prove it.

In my opinion, the US will not seek a UN resolution so long as the price is UN control. What I think we will do is build up an Iraqi army to gradually replace US troops - Vietnamization II. I believe the new Centcom commander has annouced the formation of just such a force.

(BTW, What do you suppose the new Iraqi army will use, M16's or AK47's?)

Obviously not only the BaŽathists but also islamistic Groups.
There was a group which confessed that they are behind some of the attacks on US-Soldiers and they said they would also attack Bluehelmets, if the UN would get involved in the country.

This won't be a Vietnam 2 as there isn't a large force invading. Or one large enough to constitute this. Only small groups that hard to catch.

Old rusty crap? The AN-94 has problems with clogging and gets jammed often. How do I know? I fired one. The construction is cheap and crappy.

The M-16 and M-4 need more maintainance but are so much better... they are years ahead of the Russian crap. Only an idiot would say the AN-94 was better..
