And if you want to it is useful to have the ability to have your Missile really hit the target

Maybe for example Europe declares their war against Spam Mailers.
It wouldn´t be nice, if they hit any house of an innocent person in the Neighbourhood instead of the home of one these foul criminal, because they lack GPS Data

Besides, true Euros fight each other with every little thing there is 'no we want that department of EU' 'no we want it!' 'your food sucks' 'no pizzas rule you ignorant stupid mongoloid!'. That is true Europe. Nothing ever gets done. And we feel that we're the best people in the world and other people are stupid, fat or lazy, or all of the above. That's Europe for you guys. Refusing to speak english, refusing to help others, that's Europe.
Being dependant from everyone else in this world, yet think we are elite of all, that's Europe.

Well then you're a true Euro, living in so many countries.
Also you must look at the map and see where we are. When people are travelling Europe, they never come here. We are so far north and lots of sea in the middle to from central Europe (except if you go through east) that no one ever bothers. That's ok, it's not really worth it either, but that separates us from 'the TRUE' Europe too.

We are just a funny little place in north, maybe one of the borders who cares. So, no I do not feel very Euro.
We speak your language, yet you don't speak ours. We visit you, yet you don't visit us. So it's a bit tough to feel European, when everyone else don't think you really are. Get my point?

But I'm not saying 'DAMN YOU!'.. it's ok... but I just don't feel Euro that's it. Besides, if there was some championship games or olympics, I don't go 'well at least the winner was from Europe'.. or I don't shout 'EUROPE! EUROPE!'. Man, I rather chant U S A! U S A! That even sounds better.

And you know what else is different with Euros and lets say Americans? When I talk to Americans, they make a good conversation usually and ask about things and learn. They have 0 knowledge before it, but they want to be nice and learn something, because that is a sign of respect. I like it a lot. I know who JFK is, but does the guy know who Mikko Töppönen was? No, but he asks about it, because that's a nice thing to ask.
And no, most Europeans DON'T do that. And that's why they never learn anything about others. They don't care for the least bit. And that keeps them ignorant and stupid. Besides, Americans don't have much reasons to know us, but Euros should know us pretty good. You know, we are here and all that...

Tired of ads?

lightblue, and you have lived in small countries, so you know that people from little countries 'that are insignificant' are very proud people. They're proud of who they are and what they are. When someone doesn't give a crap about it, then how is the person to be expected to respect that person? I don't have to walk in there beating my chest 'I AM FINNISH! KNEEL BEFORE ME! READ AND LEARN!'.

But if you never took the time to learn anything about us, that shows you don't care about us at all. Who can you care if you don't know us?

It's like people here are giving hard time to Albert Speer all the time 'well why don't you go outside Philly and get to know places and stuff' as it is a bad thing. Well you don't know us either, we're in Europe, and yet you claim to be European. And we're not another city next to Philadelphia, we are a country damn it.

I have been in Malta, so I know quite a bunch about it. Nice place, very small though. Nice castles, and those knights were brave.. first border fighters for Europe!
Beautiful women, too much tourists... Very interesting history, and there are great museums that display weaponry and gear what knights had and all that. Is in Mediterranian and capital is Valetta, Valette or something like that. I could try to really think about everything I know about it, and what I saw, but I think I made my point in the case of Malta already.

Galacia.. isn't that in Spain? I don't know very much about this one. But I know it's in Spain or next to it. I think I can point it on the map too.

Macedonia. Is located in the eastern Europe, and little to the south. Close to Greece. I can point it on the map. I'm not sure of their population, but I know for a fact that it is smaller than ours (we are appx 5 million). Famous folks, like Alexander the Great was there. They had conflict with Greeks about who it belongs to. There was some kind of genocide of Macedonians at one point, not sure when it was but it was a long time ago. Balkans is a heated place!

Moldova. Former USSR, so in Eastern Europe. I can point it on the map, close to Black Sea. Lots of fighting and invading there happened long time ago (Turks, Russians). That's pretty much about it though.

Brittany? Hm.. and old French place? It's next to France, or in France. They're little Islands too. I don't know very much about Brittany. I think I can point them on map.

Wales, easy one. The names of some places in there are very long written and they look funny to me, foreigner.
Listen everybody knows Wales ok.

What's the point Sandman?

And I BET these places suffer from the same thing as us too! Except that many of these are more known than us, but granted, little known too. And I said that I don't feel like a true Euro anyway. It was others that claimed to be the Euros, so THEY should be the ones knowing all about Europe.

Full PM-box? Change here!

And I find it that the 'heart of Europe' should be the ones knowing the ins and outs of Europe. They are, after all, the heart of it. We, others, are just the funny countries surrounding it, in the south there is where are good beaches and good looking women that won't put out with outsiders, and in the east there are the commies, I mean the former commies that are poor. That is your vision (not yours personally, you are not ignorant yourself) of Europe. So it is not us who are the ones to blame, it is YOUUUUUU!

The little ones knows you, but you do not know us. So how can we truly be real Euros? Besides, the power of Europe, and the power held in EU no matter what you say is in the hands of the bigger ones. We get what is left, sometimes we even get to speak, but still you have to listen to us through translators. It is you, who should be aware what is around you. Because you are the loudest about Europe, so you should be educated in terms what is Europe. So that's why I say, European heart celebrates itself. And when they celebrate theirselves as true and the real thing, then they must be, as they are seen so around the world. We are only Europe by our borders. So there, you can have it .

Remember, other people have an excuse not to know us. European hegemony masters do not.

The most funny thing is, that true Europeans thinks they are true elite of them all AND thinks Americans are stupid especially in geography, not knowing anything about Europe, except where it is! Well neither do you! And they have an excuse, you do not!

Finland:

Part of Sweden for a long time, home of Ugric and later some Scandanivian people as well, if I remember correctly, the closest language to Finnish is Hungarian.

Sweden lost Finland to Russia, which owned it until the Russian Revolution, Finland declared and kept it's independence in the ensuing chaos.

Hammered the Soviets in the Winter War, although eventually pushed back by sheer weight of numbers. The skilled leadership of Mannerheim was invaluable. He's the only Finnish hero I know about. Helped during the German invasion of Russia, but you kept your demands modest, and got only the land the Soviets had taken in the Winter War.

Capital: Helsinki. Population: Single figure millions, 2-5 million? Home of the Nokia mobile phone company, formerly the Nokia toilet paper company, if the rumours are true. And the Moomins.

The point was to test YOUR knowledge of outlying European areas. Do you make a special effort to know everything there is to know about all the areas of Europe, so that of you go to, say, Cyprus, you don't create the same reaction that 'ignorant' euros create regarding Finland.

I think you're being oversensitive, myself. I'd much prefer to have Scotland as a reasonably blank slate, than to have to put up with the irritating misconceptions that dominate.

red_jon, yes I am! Because it is hard for some to understand, because they are in the middle of it, how everyone else feels. And if you want unity, then you must know what others are about, what they want and who they are. Without that, there is no unity, and that's one reason why there is NO unity in Europe, and without unity, what is Europe anyway????!!!

And I repeat, I am not angry or anything like that, or accuse any of you fine people of this. I know you're the smart ones. But the rest? Uh oh...
I identify myself more being American, and I'm not!

And your small stupid leaders are the WORST! Chirac, anyone? He was very nice about the new coming members of EU, who had an opinion about something. But noooo 'you stupid. Don't want to be EU? Wanna be poor forever, you smelly little things?'.. Nice one! That shows what you really think about us. Not anyone of you personally. SO instead of unity, all we get is threats, and arrogant attitude.

When there was talks about unified defense.. no one bothered to ask us anything, Luxemburg, Belgium, France and Germany decided they'd be the core of it and the rest of them can shut it. That is very nice to do for a fellow Euro.

If Tony Blair ever thought about visiting us, it would be a big thing! We'd be like 'ooh Tony is here'. At least the activists would be excited, the point is we'd care! When our president would visit there, she'd be just the old bag who knows from where. So, why do you feel we should respect that? We are being nice about it and ignore the bad treatment. If we are not equal, then how can we surely be unified? And if we are not unified, how can we truly be equal? There is no unity.

And as for UK, it was what? 60%? of students who couldn't find our country in a survey, and man look at the map, it's not like we're 60 000 kilometers away from you. We're almost neighbours!
If true euros are elite, then how come they are not educated? Can elite people be that uneducated? I'm not talking about UK or any other country here, but individuals who claim to be true euros?

Also, everytime when Chirac or Schroeder speaks, they act like they speak for the whole damn Europe! You don't speak for us you maggots! Go and have sex somewhere else!

Besides, we need to be true to ourselves. What is Europe? Borderline communist, sissie definitely, and pinky lifting snobs. It hurts but it's the truth. So it's ok not to be TRUE EURO, because that would kind of suck too. I don't like to identify myself being sissie borderline commie anyway. Masters of diplomacy.. what did our diplomacy had resolved in some time? Nothing, absolutely nothing. We should do diplomacy, but we should dump the act of pinky lifting hypocrites and start showing some guts. Or we'll be failures forever.

If we were unified, if we had a common language (not literally) we would already have an army. But it will never happen, because we are too different! And next time when you think about it, please send us a fax, or give us a phonecall (yes we have working phones and faxmachines, we're not that backwards), why don't you ask how we feel and not say 'YOU SHALL BE PROTECTED BY US, KNEEL BEFORE US FOR YOUR FAITH IS IN OUR HANDS!'. Nice one, didn't work though.
