Keep in mind that Rafah is THE most active hotspot in the area. I dont know what's going on there now that there is a cease fire, but before the cease fire there was a LOT of shooting and grenade throwing and sniping and whatnot in the area.

where you there , no , you should not believe all that gets said and sold as facts by some stupid media , ......
just make sure you dont do anything irrational when you get out of gaza , ....
as for the rest , behave , act normal , dont do strange things , ....
dont try to film a nightly shootout as miller did , ..... when bullets fly around , duck
get a good first aid kit , just in case , ......
get a couple good flashlights also , take one that has a cone on top also in red or so , one of those flashing strobe lights is always good
dont go out at night , if you sense anything is wrong , get as far away from it as possible , .....
send a mail if you need help and advice when you go , .......

1st if there's a polymeet - Azazel, i hope you know my number.
2nd : Evil, make sure you get all sides of the story. The IDF can be uncooperative at times, which is terribly dumb, but please try.
Also, make sure you have alot of wittnesses and different versions. Take a look at the video of the event (it was recorded on video, thoguh little is seen in the dark).
Also, double check everything you hear. A lot of civilian pals are full of ****, and are on pay from the PA information office. Alot of IDF responses are at times shitty too, sadly.
Another thing - I know you might feel supportive of some side, but please do your best to appear neutral, and what ever you do don't get into conflicts with anyone.
If the IDF doesn't let you go somewhere - file a complaint or a request at higher ranks. Don't start an arguement or try to sneak it (unless you really must) because the people you are dealing with are armed, tired and hungry 19 year olds, who are not all good people.
The people in gaza are usually from Givati brigade, where mostly jerks go, from what I gathered. You won't notice signs on them, but those who are in non-combat gear have a purple berette and a red fox on their shoulder patch.
Also, in your article, avoid generalalizations and sentances that journalists love to use, which are inaccurate and dumb. No one back here is amused.

And che is full of ****. Make sure you are known to be a journalist and a nice one at that. Plain folks dont' get cooperation, and not-nice journalists may be given less maneuvere space.
Journalists were often hurt when they were taking cover, or in crowds, when it was not obvious they were journalists.
