Recommend me books! Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

Ok here's the stuff that I usually read:

autobiographies
I like these, IF the person is interesting, naturally. I like it if person is little controversial, but doesn't have to be.
Last one I read was Malcom X, which I liked very much (controversial person and interesting). Should be a person from 1900s,if older, then it must be very interesting for me to read it. This person does not have to be famous.

wars in general
I've been concetrating on locals and their books, but I'd like to read about other conflicts too. Should be easy reading, and not handling the whole conflict but from one persons view, who was there, so it should be real too. If it is fiction, standards are high for me to be interested. So, someones personal experiences are preferred, but other stuff will do fine too. Prefer wars fought 1940 to this day.

movie books
And that is when the movie is based on the book, NOT the other way thank you. I haven't read many, but I wanted to read so many and people have recommended, but I just can't remember them... try to avoid romantic dramas.. easy reading preferred.

I also read fantasy and bit of scifi books too, but I have them covered and have bunch that I haven't even read yet so, don't recommend these books.

Also I can't stand detective stories for some reason, please, no detective books!

Or if you have an idea from other types of books I might like, not listed here, give it a go, all recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks!

ps. give a short short description what the book is about if it is not obvious by it's title.

Boris, was he some kind of composer man, or something to do with music anyway? Hmm.. I don't know, is he interesting person, is his life interesting? Aside from music naturally. I read Miles Davis and that guy surely was interesting fellow

I kind of narrowed down many books, but feel free to recommend. No scifi, fantasy and definitely NO detective stories though.

Erm, no, he was the second President of the United States and a major figure in the American Revolution.

I enjoyed 'catch me if you can' book very much. Though it's kind of autobiography and movie book at the same time, it was great IMO. Things like that I enjoy very much, amazing story, fun character doing amazing things.

Books like (I make up titles):
'I was nazi'
'I was black panther'
'I belonged to al qaeda'
'I escaped the....'
'I was in mafia'
.. something that makes the person belong to controversial and maybe illegal groups and tells what it was like from his own perspective.

Also can be fictional books, I like funny stuff like 'Life as a millionaire' (not real book, made up) could be like. No need for ha-ha jokes but something light and funny light story. Almost like 'catch me if you can', but fictional.

It's about the battle of Jutland, the largest battleship confrontation in history. Exciting stuff, ships blowing up, suicidal destroyer attacks, incompetence, and all the other stuff that makes for a good battle.

Tired of ads?

How about the book that inspired 'Gigli'?

Or maybe, 'Marvin K. Mooney, Will You Please Come Down?'

Contrary to popular belief, the latter is NOT a children's book. Many of Geisel's books were meant only for adults, despite having small words and rhyming couplets (another exempla gratia - 'Horton Hears a Who!')

I enjoyed 'Gods and Generals' and 'The Last Full Measure' very much. It might not have been a 'The Killer Angels', but both were very good reads.

Agathon, it wasn't a 'skin show'... I don't know if she has wrote if herself, then I don't want to read it.. it is way too opinionated remembering the facts that it was she herself who was the one lying all the time and then suddenly revealing it all, making huge losses to distributors and producers etc. It was she who made money, and at the end turn everything upside down. No one did that for her. She did it herself. So.. no matter how hard the story is, drug abusing and everything you can think of.. if she wrote it herself, I dont' want to read it .

CoprusScorpius, what are those books?

st_swithin, what is Gigli?
