	Official Poll: Suicide Galley Details Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

Okay, there's only about 1/4 of the time left on the poll I think it's pretty close to official that we should launch the PoA. We can always ignore the results of this poll if a lot of people decide to vote no in the last 12 hours.

Okay, we basically have 4 different options for launching the PoA:

South: 4-4-4
South: 7-7-7
North: 4-4-4
North: 7-7-7

With the south site being the island just west of CFC's land, and the north site being the site northwest of the chokepoint.

The diagonal directions can later be modified if they are chosen (for example, 8-4-7 instead of 7-7-7).

As I've said in this thread, I believe we should head 4-4-4 from the southern island, because it reveals the most tiles and since we're heading towards a landmass we don't know the shape or size of, the more tiles we see the better our chance to find something.

If we must condemn a galley, I favour E_T's central spot. The chances of the other continent being astride the equator are near 100%. The chances of a large ocean to the North or South are excellent.

If we are to suicide, let us suicide from where the odds favour success. That would be E_T's 'north' spot, which is actually middle of the map.

I do not agree with nye's assumption about our world. I think it looks a little more like this. With a couple of more islands here and there.

I think the Southern route has a higher probability for success, preferably the NW one.

I have nothing specific to offer other than just general game play experience with many maps over the years. There are some things you can count on with the maps, other things are full of variables. If someone could correctly assume everything about the unkown portions of the map, they would be cheating. :O

Seriously though, this is just my educated guess.
