When I got out of the Army I was 25 years old. I moved in with a friend of mine who was finishing up his degree at the university, and student teaching (german) at my old high school. One of his students took a fancy to him, and we'd see her at a lot of parties and shows etc. She was only 16 at the time, but liked to hang out with an older crowd. She was also a total babe. I liked her from the start, but she was obviously too young for me, and even my friend didn't cross the line with her.
Over the course of the next few months she struck up a fairly close friendship with my roomate / friend. She would come over to our apartment fairly often, and when he wasn't around she and I would have interesting conversations. I was impressed. She was very articulate and polite as well as bright. This went on for a month or two.
My roomate got a new girlfriend and wasn't hanging out at home much. The girl came over one evening and asked if my roomate was home, and I told her no. She said, "Good, I wanted to hang out with you anyway. So our friendship officially began. She would come over about 5 nights every week, and we did all sorts of friend stuff, talking, going out etc. After about a month of this even I had to admit that I was smitten with her, though still very concerned about our age difference. She was now 17 years old, while I was still 25.
She graduated early from H.S. that winter, as did my roomate (from Uni). He left for Japan to teach english, and she moved into his room. We were inseperable, and couldn't help but fool around with one another on several occasions. But I always felt bad about it later because she was too young for me, and I knew that I wasn't the sort of guy that she would want in the long run, just as she wasn't the sort of person who I would be able to develop a long term romantic relationship with. I felt like I was more of a father figure to her, with our hormones occasionally overtaking our good sense.
We went on like this for about a year. We both dated other people, she more than I as she was very hot and I was trying to focus on longer term relationships, and taking my time getting to know people. We quit living together after about 9 months because of the tension between us, though we still slept with one another off and on. Finally I had had enough after yet another sexual tension related spat. I felt that neither of us was seriously going to move on while this thing between us was so present. I ended up moving away to get away from her believe it or not. I felt like it was the responsible thing to do, for as compelling as our relationship was I felt that it was based upon factors that couldn't withstand the test of time. She was by now 18 years old, almost 19. Our seperation hurt us both, but I think it hurt me most.
The next summer she came out to Boulder and lived with me again for the summer. Same old stuff, but the year or so that we'd been apart finally gave us both the breathing room we needed to admit that our mutual infatuation was just that. She moved out to New York and did her ballet and modeling thing. (She's been in a lot of fashion and fitness magazines over the years) I stayed here in Boulder and did my thing. We're still friends, but its a much safer and steadier friendship these days. I must say that I made the right decision, even though it ate away at my insides for the better part of three years. We were simply going in different directions due in part to the years between us at first, and veritable differences in our life goals as we both grew. She was exploring her youth and sexuality, and I was exploring long term commitment on a lot of levels, incuding romantically.
I've certainly been luckier with women than I have a right to be, as I'm not exactly a head turner. This girl was the prime example of that. I had no business being with her by any objective standard, but we got along so well that not only was her potential dissappointment in having a boyfriend who wasn't half as attractive as she was not an issue, but my own insecurity was similarly disarmed. She gave me a lot of confidence in that way. Occasionally when I was alone afterward I would think of her with a tinge of regret. These days I rarely do so, but enjoy the memories of those exciting days, and appreciate the fact that she is still one of my closest friends.

A little different, sad nonetheless.
Last year there was this girl who was infatuated with me - all school knew that except for me and I didn't believe them when they told me. When I finally got the guts to approach her - it was too late. Another has caught the bird.
I haven't recovered yet, it's been half a year. It's hard to imagine a person this hot.
Now I'm out of school and although I have the number, I'm not in touch. I think I have missed an opportunity that should *NOT* be missed.
*Goes to cry*

Solver, Nah it's only proves I'm a sensible guy. What happened to her was unfortunate, but I also have to take it under consideration that I haven't been in any kind of contact with her for a long time and the fact, that it didn't concern me. Helping is helping, but kicking someones butt is kicking someones butt and it doesn't directly help anyone. I don't have all the facts what happened, and furthermore, I'm no Judge Dredd, handing out punishments as I see them fit. If we were still in contact with each other, no problem. But as we have grown apart, kind of like strangers, it's none of my god damn business. If I'd have seen it happening in front of my eyes, sure, but this happened some time ago and it's over with. so.. BOO YOURSELF!
You see, I don't believe in violence. It rarely solves anything. It should be used only for self defense. What happened, happened, and the self defense aspect was long gone. It would have been about revenge, and I despice the word.

there was this girl who was new to our highschool school (this was 9th grade), and she was downright beautiful. italian / cuban mix, long brown hair, nice skintone, stacked, had back, the works i tell you, the works!
whatever happened in her past, she was very insecure about her self, especially her looks and whether or not people would like her. hell, thats what i live for, so i comforted her about her insecurities and became her friend. we started to hang out and my friends kept saying "it doesn't look right with your arm around her". f*ck them. after about 2 months of being a friend i got a real kiss . anyway, my strategy would be my downfall. cheerleader tryouts were comming along, and she was kind of excited about it, she had always wanted to be a cheerleader, she said. i've always wanted to bang a cheerleader, i thought. so i encouragesd her to do it, she even asked me to sit through the tryouts (awesome). she made it, and i even went to one of her competitions (i didnt even knew they existed). our team got the silver and she was estatic.
then, about a week later, she's dating a _junior_ (11th grade) football player. thats 17 on 14, mind you. we stayed friends for about a year after that, slowly drifting apart, my stomach dropping whenever i saw her holding hands with the jock bastard. she would also tell me about him. about every problem she had with him. f*ck that. eventually, we stopped talking alltogether, and would just say hi to eachother in the hall. she also gave me pity dances at 2 sweet sixteens, which was nice of her. she's go a humanitarian heart. GRINDING FOR THE NERDS! WOO!
thats all. |
