Our decision of supporting China was autonomous and had to be taken quickly due to the speedness of those events. However if Australia believe that an attack on Persia would be bad for our alliance, we will immediatly stop supporting the Chinese.

Instead if you prefer to help us against the Persians (diplomatically or militarly) it would be very much appraciated.

We are sorry for the little incomprehension but that was a decision we had to take fast. Given our past history with the Persians and the fact that they are our direct neighbor to the south.

WAR!!
Today 23rd February 2112 the New Italian Empire formally declared war on the Persian Empire. The declaration of war, signed by both Emperor Giovanni del Vino and Prime Minister Alessandro Dulcis was given to the Persian ambassador in Torino.

Immediatly Italian troops started ammassing near the Persian-Italian border, in Greece. Although no fights between the two armies occured yet.

"War has been declared, our plan can not fail. The Persian armies will have to be split in two different fronts, one against us and another against the Chinese. Therefore it is plausible that the other areas of their Empire will be pretty much defenseless.
While we will keep their attention focused in Greece, by bombing their position with our air superiority, the Navy will strike against the Palestinian coastline.
Our Navies will attack in forces, as we expect that the Persian Navy will be evenly spread out not knowing where we will strike.
We will than establish a beachhead in Israel, where we hope to have the support of the local Jews and Sunni population.
This will cause the opening of a third front for the Persians, they won't be able to substain such an effort. It will be a great victory for us. The Last Crusade May Began."

After the quick explanation of the plan Commander Leo was personally greeted by Emperor Giovanni, who congratulated himself with Leo for his brillant strategy.

Thousands of Muslims Protest Italian-Chinese Agression against Persia
Demand Action from French Government

Thousands of protestors, mainly believers of Islam, clogged the streets outside Italian and Chinese embassies and consulates throughout the French Empire, staging massive protests denouncing those two nation's agressions against Persia. It is estimated that 50 thousand people thoughout the nation took part in various protests. Islamic leaders in France and thoughout the world are declaring the Italian and Chinese attacks on the Persian Empire "attacks against all Muslims everywhere," and are calling for all believers of Islam to "take up arms to defend Persia and fight off the infidels."

The protestors in France are calling for the French government to take action, either through "trade embargoes or war."

Military Police from the French army were called in to protect the Italian and Chinese embassies/consulates, but this proved unneccesary, as the protests were peaceful, and no incidents were reported.

It should be noted that the French Government has not taken any offical stance for or against the war, and the protestors' opinions are not those of the French Government.

Protests spread out
After the big protests of Paris the Italian Muslim, especially those of Shiite heritage protested against the Italian involvment in the Chino-Persian war. The protestors locked all the major roads running through the Italian Empire.
Skirmishes between the police and the protestors occured in the cities of Gjilami (in Kosovo) and Belgrade (in Serbia) where the protestors tried to lock down the military facilities of those cities.
Emperor Giovanni del Vino declared that the protestors have no reason to be, as the Italian Empire seek to liberate the Muslims from their Persian oppressor, and not subjugate them.
Nonetheless the protests went on, and already 3 people (2 protester and 1 policeman) died.

Persian War News:

Heavy fighting but not much progress either way in the Kunlun Mountains as both sides try to gain the advantage. Farther North, a spearhead of the Chinese army has moved through the Kuldja Pass and is descending on the ruins of the old city of Almaty, where the Persians have set up provisional fortifications. Further north, in the Chugachak, more divisions have reached Lake Balkhash, and are using it as a strong point while they move south to encircle the Persians at Almaty. Frequent attacks by Persian skirmishers have made supply difficult in some areas, but this is largely offset by superior Chinese airpower.

occ: I think it would take more than 5 years to build 20 Space Carriers. It takes 8 months t build one aircraft carrier (navy) at present. At the most with allowable tech advances, it would take say 11 years to build 20 Space Carriers.

China to Italy: Weren't you going to help defeat Persia?

Chinese forces have encircled and taken Almaty. It was a rather gruesome fight, as the Persians still have high morale and tend to refuse to surrender. Chinese soldiers now moving towards Frunze and Dzambul. Less sucess in the Tien Shan mountains, where relentless Persians have thrown so many soldiers into the battles as to be forcing Chinese units to the edge of the mountains and dangerously close to the Tarim Pendi Basin.

This will take andvantage of the new power sources the United States has devoloped, anti matter power. This will be a tank that hovers about 3 feet off the ground. It will have an advanced armor system. Its main arment will be a new particle weapon that was not possible to place it on a tank untill anti matter power was devoloped.


New Drive System Project:
THis is to take antiadvantage of anti matter power and use this to create a much faster drive system for our space fleet that will make interstellar travel possible. (Similar to warp dive on Star Trek).
