Yes, they left a lot of space at the back and there were some terrible errors on coverage.

PSV didn't impress either, but I sort of expected that.

It is indeed tight at the top in the Pred. League table. I find it striking that there's such a (relatively) large gap between Paul [#4] and Werner [#5].

Not that much of a surprise because Wernazuma missed 16 matches. A bigger surprise is the low score for Fergus. He is one of the 5 people who have posted predictions for all 96 matches so far, but he's only in 9th place.

Yes, when I was checking the spreadsheet I saw that he had the highest percentages for both correct winners and exact scores, but he only posted predictions for 48 matches.

Thanks for pointing that out to everyone Paul! I have just been out to buy a monkey who can use an abacus to produce random scores, and have thrown away the blindfold and pin used in previous rounds.

I think I try to do too much second-guessing. For example, this week I figured that United's luck would run out and that they would underestimate the Panathanaikos, that Arsenal and Celtic were really ready for the big time, and that the Italian teams would under-achieve as it was early in their season (or something).
