Received the turn, but for some odd reason I can no longer load a saved game (no dropdown menus). Will try playing the turn on my partner's computer this evening...

For some reason, I can no longer load PBEM saves by the "Multiplayer" tab - I have to load the game by using the "Load Game" tab. I'm thinking that some one loaded the save via the load game option, so now that's the only way it will work for me.

This has also occured with my Living Large PBEM game.

Any how, save sent to Kermit.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

I've never used the Multiplayer tab. I always have loaded from the main screen using Load Game. This always has worked as long as I didn't have another game going.

Enter the AD-FREE zone

Well, this was the advice I posted to Kermit in another game that we're both in:

 Are you sure you placed them in the PTW save directory and not the Civ3 save or the Conquests save directories?

To make sure that you have the right directory, just start-up a single player PTW game and save it after the first turn. Then when your copying over the PBEM PTW saves, you should see your single-player save already in the saved directory. This will indicate that you are placing the save files in the proper directory.

I'm not sure if you've tried this yet, but it couldn't hurt...


But so far, there hasn't been a response back from him.

So you can't read the file from Wittlich? Do a search using the filename in windows to locate the file.
