At the DC Poly meet, I was trying to remember the name of the battlefield in Virginia that I visited a couple of years ago. It just resurfaced. Petersburg. Man, that's out in the Virginian boondocks.

It did quite well considering the industrial and population advantage of the north. The idea of a free South still exists today. A new organization entitled "The League of the South" has begun to gain some small support. It is a modern day advocate for Southern Independence.

I'm not so sure mrmitchell. Let me say that secession would be a BAD idea that I would NOT support, but there are many differences between the north and the South. They seem to be growing more along political lines than they have in years.
