From my records we have five active succession games (or at least five here that I’m involved in)

Lazy -- Straybow, then Ben Kenobi, then JRabbit

Scorched Earth -- Sparrowhawk (with Sir Snuggles listed next, but yet to enter the fray) and then JRabbit

O Sole Mio -- Straybow, followed by Old n Slow (as Zenon has played)

2nd Sail -- Straybow, then Duke of York

Dirty -- SG [1] (While we’re waiting for STYOM) and Zedd to follow

Stray has got a lot on his plate. I'll be able to play the Sailing Game on Saturday whether my laptop arrives or not so if he hasn't played that by Friday I'll take it on. (if that's all right)

For some months, Straybow has gotten the habit of dropping in these teasing posts that acknowledge he is up, but he doesn't play the turns until much, much later. I hope he has not had a relapse and that real life becomes easier in this new year.

My girlfriend has just called me to tell me that my laptop has been delivered to our house.
Unfortunately, I can't go home and load up MGE this evening, and think it very unlikely that I'll get any turns played before Saturday.
I've got the Sailing .sav already (was going to play it last weekend but forgot), so unless Stray posts his intention to play, he may well be skipped again.

I've now played Sailing, and it doesn't seem as though Stray will be playing in the near future, so we go back to the start of the rotation, looking for someone to get us out of the mess I've put us in.

I'm up next in Dirty, but Zedd hasn't posted the .sav yet. Unfortunately, RL intervenes this week. It's our anniversary this evening and my girlfriend's birthday on Thursday so I doubt that much will be played either night. I can't play on Tuesdays (ever - or Thursdays for that matter), so I'll try to squeeze in the turns on Wednesday evening, while making a birthday cake. So I may have to invite someone else to jump in on Dirty, and then play my turns next weekend, but will keep my options open for the time being.

We've only got five in rotation at the moment, with one on open:

Dirty - Old n Slow
O Sole - SG (may be skipping, in which case La Fayette)
Lazy - -Jrabbit
Scorched - STYOM (looks like -Jrabbit plays here too then)
Sailing - Straybow (then Ben, STYOM, SG, so it looks as though the lagomorph plays here too! )

-Jrabbit has got a lot on his plate if SG skips his turns, and we can't track down any of the other people who haven't visited in a while.

I don't want to seem to mean to absent friends, and hope that they all return soon, but could we set up a special team to act as SXN substitutes? Zedd has taken one of the games, and good luck to him , and debeest, Grigor and Rasputin have certainly not ashamed themselves with their recent forays into the murky world of succession.
Without actually having their names on the list and committing them to long-term rotas, would it be possible to ask them (or anyone else who happens to pop by) to play a few turns now and again to keep things moving, especially if we get another -Jrabbit SXN avalanche situation.

After years of lurking with an incompatible ancient Mac version, Solo has generously found a MGE for Macintosh CD for me, and I am now able to participate in MGE games. The Sailing game seems to be moving apace, but I am not sure of the formats of the others.

Wow, a very difficult game indeed, and one that I do not know how to make progress in! I played 8 turns, but I fear that the best hope may be to wait for Robotics and do the howie crush. The AI has tons of cash, rendering unit bribing uneconomic.

I have completed my turns in (2nd) Sailing Succession, which turns the pointer to SG [1].

I have downloaded the Dirty Succession and should be able to post by Friday.
