Alright, I suspect this is a stupid question but why call a three legged cat Eileen? I suppose there is a refrence to some movie or play which I haven't seen and that's why I don't get the joke.

oerdin..i think you know enough of my history to know how dysfunctional it has been. I've met alot of loosers along the way, so i've never experienced the awkwardness of meeting them again and knowing that they're doing better than i am. HOwever, i have met them again and it gets weird...especially if they hit on you....

I only really thought that one was disfunctional but I will take your word for it. I've had a few days to think about this now and I'm really happy she's doing well. I've also had time to realize that what I need to do is work on improving myself instead of trying to compete with other people.

Guess who e-mailed me today? Yep, Christine. She just wrote a brief note asking what I was up to and how my family was and all that stuff. I haven't written her back but I think I'll keep it brief and impersonal when I do.

So I was dating one person. I went through some rough spots with that person and ended up falling for someone else. For a number of reasons that person and I couldn't be together (she wasn't in the mood for the ones with penises) so I stayed with the first person.

Instead, the person I had fallen for and I became best friends. Later, with permission from my girlfriend, I began to date my bestfriend.

It lasted a week. My bestfriend said it was too uncomfortable and we gave it up.

Now I'm still with my original girlfriend, and the person I fell for is still my bestfriend. Oh, and my girlfriend has gotten more action from my bestfriend than I have.

Technically there are no exes in this story, and technically I don't run into my bestfriend - I see her everyday, but it's an awkward situation nonetheless.

Well it seems Christine and her new boyfriend are getting an apartment together; that's something she and I never did even after dating for two years. Also they're going to fly to New York to spend X-mas with his parents. Damn, it sounds like they're serious.

On another note her little Jack-Russel terrier has lukymia and will likely die. We picked out that little dog together and I feel almost as attached to it as she does.
