But we can get spices from Tabemono.

Though we do have spices in the south, unfortunately we don't have many Workers down there and the ones we do have are busy preparing the Palace jump site, so getting 20 turns of spices from Tabemono may be a good idea... though they're not VITAL, so we shouldn't pay too much for them.

Anyways, I'm in the wrong thread.

What do you think? 400g sounds fine to me. Let's sell them Invention and then gift the tech to Monkey. We'll also ask them not to gift/sell/trade the tech to anyone else, and we'll let them know about us giving it to Monkey should we decide to do so.

This may work for us. We trade Theo to Tab for Invention. We trade LL Theo for spices and gold (lump sum).

This, of course, would make it difficult for us to go to war on LL, but with our peacenik theme, I think that it's best that we stay away from needles and pointless conflict, and we spend the time Tab and LL are at war to further build up and grow our nation.

Tell them we will consider their offer and thank them for their response.

We have yet to hear a real response from CoD or Python and I don't think it's a good idea to jump the gun.

Getting spices and gold would be nice, though I'd prefer if we could get more gold than they're offering, since it is a very expensive tech.

Tell them to offer spices on their coming turn so that in case we do end up working out a deal we get the lux benefit ASAP.

I agree, but I think, as trip does, that we need to get a bit more gold from them as well. Maybe even a gpt deal would suffice. Ask for an additional 6 gpt to what they offered already.
