It's hard to see when things works out and there are successes.. because then everything is ok and normal. You only see it when something goes wrong. So I'd say every day is a victory against terrorism when there is no significant strike. Every day, when terrorists gets arrested/shot is a day of victory. Every day, when we get more information about new terrorist plans, movements, trails, anything.. it's a day of victory.
Every day when terrorists are the ones having to have to look behind their shoulders, is a day of victory.

Terrorism is not going to go away, never ever. It will be always with us. The question just is if they are succesfull in their business, or do we manage to keep them down. I'd say the war has been pretty damn succesful and FULL of victories.

I think that the most significant event is that the spread of WoMD has been endorsed, and that one or two oppressive, terrorism supporting countries have been replaced by one or two others.

(Afghanistan and (to a lesser extend) Iraq, vs Pakistan and (to a lesser extend) China)

Doesn't bode very well...
