quote: Greetings
It has been a long, long time since we last spoke. Well, sincerely there were not too much reasons to talk...until now. Your recent rise at the powergraph seems like some sort of massive upgrading and a indication of a probable attack. We are prepared to defend ourselves, but this war will consume all the wealth that we both have.
What's worse, if we broke our status quo an scenario will be created where Monthy and CoD could attack our continent with ease, their armies will be prepared soon when they finish with the monkeys.
So, what are your intentions? We are open to anything, don't be afraid to talk. We could't do something about the monkeys because of your menace at the opposite side. You probably had the same problem. This could change now.

Well folks. How would you like to handle this?
Of the options available.
Total Honesty: Interesting. I've never done that before, for certain.
Half truths: Say how we made an agreement as part of the whole contact arrangement not to go to the other continent. Say that we hoped one of the other teams would for us.
The team is full of builders, with the exception of myself, all lego members. The power graph was a knee-jerk reaction to lego getting whooped on. Riders do tend to raise the thing. It's not like we're hiding it. (one could accuse them here of attempting to hide a buildup by building warriors for upgrade for instance)
The Complete lie:
Claim we think it's time to do something about the whole Monkey situation. We'ld love them to join in. Who knows, they might actually load some troops and go over there.

I don't think the complete lie is worth the risk. We've mentioned to at least some people, I believe, that we have a hands-off policy on the other continent. That may have gotten back to them. This still leaves room for the half truth, however ("admit" we were hoping someone else would go).
BTW, let's make sure to check F3 for a new LL embassy next turn. In fact, we may want to delay a response until we get the save so we can know how much they know. (We'd know they saw at least the horse build, and the 90% gold.)
If we go for the half truth, definitely bring up the powergraph. They're a major civ too, and I doubt Sun Tzu's was really what they were going for (or are going for now, for that matter; if I were them I'd be hoping for Bach's or Smith's). We simply want to be one of the big kids on the block - like when we turned out those warriors for upgrade to MI, at UnO's insistence - in order to make sure no one messes with us.
The Truth would be interesting. We know they're shoring up ( ) their coastal block, and I imagine they're building more military too rather than focusing on improvements. What I think we might lose by using honesty is what shreds of a surprise attack we may still have.
