All the korean and japanese girls Ive met are psychos. Then again I havent met a normal asian woman yet. They all act pretty much the same way in public, but theyre crazy when u get to know them.

That's the case in Korea. Because of the anti-Black racism there's virtually no black english teachers, so all the blacks that are here (besides the Nigerians) are a couple thousand black GIs, since there so few of them they seem to do pretty well for themselves with casual flings (supply/demand) but I imagine they'd have a hellish time setting up a longterm relationship and the girl would certainly be given all kinds of ****.

Nope, but from talking to expats who have, the rough consensus is that Japanese society is more open to interracial dating but Korean girls are cuter (so its a bit of a toss up). Specifically Koreans tend to be a bit taller, (not something I care about personally, but a lot of people do) look really really girly a bit less than Japanese and almost never have buck teeth (or bad teeth generally) and there's some slight difference in facial structure that I've seen that's hard to put my finger on.

All of the Taiwanese girls I knew in college were fairly unattractive, but China's a big enough country that there are a lot more distinct "looks" there than there are in their Korea or Japan I would think.

Most of my Korean pals say that if there's an ugly Korean girl, her parents always joke about her going to America, so that some poor white sap will find her irresistible and marry her.

And before you argue, I think the popularity of somebody as plain as Lucy Liu is evidence enough.

Locals prefer a more "western" look (e.g. round eyes with creases) whereas westerners who appreciate Asians often prefer those with looks that most embody their racial characteristics (e.g. narrow, creaseless slanted eyes, prominent cheekbones, etc).

It sorta works both ways. A lot of those western guys scoring those "ugly " Asian chicks aren't exactly prime dating material back home. Again, same goes for gay community.

I think Asian women who hook up with white guys in the US often compare Asian American men to white men. So even if Asian Americans are less patriachal then they used to be they are still more so than many white men.

Those who like white guys typically appreciate western men treating them with respect and often - equality! They enjoy western men's superior romantic skills (not to mention love-making skills...). Some think western males are irresistably sexy. And of course some are simply interested in his big, hard wallet (or the visa lurking inside it).

And again, this all (except re visa) equally applies to the dynamics of the gay community.

Coincidentally, a friend of mine just wrote a well-received book on this topic, so I've been reading and talking about it a lot lately.
