Reichstag Approves Opening of War Colleges and Academies
Following the move towards a modern and well trained military, the Reichstag has approved the request of the Chief of Staff of the Bundeswehr to open a series of war colleges and academies across Germany. Existing facilities are to be expanded over the next year and new building complexes are to be built. Applications for entry into the expanded officer corps are already being accepted. The first academy class will graduate in just over two years time.

Leopard 2 MBTs to be Upgraded to A7 Standard
In continuing with the new emphasis on quality over quantity, the army has ordered that all Leopard 2 main battle tanks in the German military be upgraded to the new A7 model. Given the number of Leopard 2's fielded by the army, this is expected to take just short of eighteen months. The bulk of the German main battle tank industry will be busy completing this task over that period. The greatest improvement yet on the Leopard 2 design, the A7 model features a 130 mm gun, advanced electronics systems, improved armor, and slightly better speed than previous models. Other improvements to the A7 include a battlefield 'identification, friend or foe' system, improved sensors and an upgrading of the current power pack with a direct injection unit enabling the engine to develop 2,038hp with improved fuel consumption.A new armor package will be fitted for more protection.

Development to Continue on New Main Battle Tank
Given that the upgrades to the Leopard 2's in service are little more than a stopgap measure, the Bundeswehr has ordered research to continue on the Kampfpanzer 2000, which has been in slow development for quite some time. Previous plans for the Kampfpanzer 2000 included a 140 mm main gun, but it is unknown what design changes may occur in the future.

Army Orders Development of 155 mm Feldhaubitze
The army has order development of a new 155 mm towed ultralightweight field howitzer. The 155 mm Feldhaubitze will utilize a lightweight version of the 155 mm L52 gun of the PzH 2000 which was developed by Rheinmetall Industrie AG, of Ratingen. Due to the use and adapting of existing weapons components, the Feldhaubitze should be ready for full production within the year.

Krauss-Maffei Wegmann Opens Three New Factories
The German armaments firm of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann has opened three new factories; one near Dortmund, one near Munich, and another near Leipzig. The new factories are almost completely automated and are quite flexible. Their assembly lines are capable of modification so that almost any armored vehicle could be produced.
Many have questioned the need for Krauss-Maffei Wegmann to build three new factories, especially such large and expensive ones. The official company response has been that while the Federal Republic may not be buying new tanks, there is quite a market for weapons, with foreign nations having a high demand for armored vehicles.

Army Expansion Announced
The Ministry of Defense has announced plans to expand the army after the increase in the military budget. The army, like all of the service branches, will be greatly bolstered by the first class graduating from the military colleges and academies. The army is expected to be structured into three armies, twelve corps, and sixty divisions.
To equip the expanding army, some five and a half thousand Leopard 2A7 tanks and many infantry weapons and combat vehicles have been ordered from Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and other armaments firms. Much to the apparent surprise of the Ministry of Defense, KMW had already produced almost seven hundred of these tanks and many combat vehicles, enough to outfit an entire armored division, without government approval. Chancellor groener dismissed the production question, calling KMV, "A company that has foreseen the needs of the future of Germany."
The army, like all service branches, will be greatly bolstered by the increase in the conscription period. The total army expansion is expected to take just under eighteen months.

Naval Construction Program Announced
The Ministry of Defense has announced plans to expand the Bundesmarine after the increase in the military budget. The navy, like all service branches, will be greatly bolstered by the increase in the conscription period and the graduation of new officers from the military academies.
Naval building plans include two aircraft carriers, 8 Sachsen Class AAW Frigates, 8 Köln Class ASW Frigates, 8 Oliver Hazard Perry Class Multi-role Frigates, 8 oceangoing diesel-electric submarines, and 8 nuclear powered attack submarines. (OOC: Ambitious, I know, but I can afford it. The Sachens and the Kölns have been building for a while and will be launching soon anyway.) Again, much to the apparent surprise of the Ministry of Defense, several German shipyards revealed that they had drawn up plans for oceangoing diesel submarines, carriers, and nuclear powered submarines Again Chancellor Groener dismissed the actions of the shipyards in preparing unordered design plans.

Hehe, The German Budget couldnt do this plans Scottf without inflation, and without the population protest.
And the new Leopard with 130mm gun... Hehe, nobody did this, and I think only Russia, and USA could do this, because only they have the specialist to do this... And it can be done in one month!
And note - East tanks always had better guns then west.
Be more realistic!

ELECTIONS IN BRAZIL
Citing the recent problems in Brazil including overpopulation in enviromentally weak areas, devaluation of the real, and increasing poverty elections have been held in Brazil. Former President Fernando Henrique Cardoso was able to do nothing about the overwhelming problems shaking Brazil to the bone. And many Brazilians were calling for change. A near successful coup by the Brazilian military forced the elections into place. After two weeks the polls showed a swing toward the far left. The Communist Party of Brazil gained many votes capturing seats out of 594 in the National Congress. However the new elected president of Brazil is Cčsar Faria of the newly formed Federal Socialist Party (PSF). The PSF's platform includes reforming worker's rights, controlling privitization, fettering rampant capitalism, and protecting the enviroment.
COUP LEADER WILL NOT STAND TRIAL
General Isaias Da Silva the leader of the failed coup against the former Cardoso government will not stand trial. This announcement came from the Supreme Federal Tribunal after hearing of Faria's election. Da Silva the leader of five battalions in the Brazilian Army, organzied and executed the coup against Cardoso earlier in the month. Years of beauracracy and ineffeciency was frustrating everyone and finally led Da Silva to try and do something about it. However seeings that his coup had borught elections for the better, Da Silva will not be tried. He will instead be reutrned to his command in the Army.

Germany has perhaps the second most advanced tank industry in the world. The plans for the Leopard 2A7 exist IRL. I can build any type tanks in any numbers that I want. The German economy can afford it. I will be spending a smaller percentage of my GDP on the military than Poland or any of your nations do IRL.
And this is not real life. The Ukraine would never join with Poland. Nor would Slovakia. Since this is not real life, the German people are going to be very happy with their government's plans.

Chcechen base discoverd
In the Caucasus Mountais in the South of Chechnya today, a Russian patrol came upon Chenchen guerillas, who, were unknown to the Russians, sentries. The Sentries were killed off, and later the patrol found the base. Russia then subsesequently attacked the base. Heavy casulties took place due to the mountainous terrain, but with sheer numbers the Russians advanced. Russian Bombers took out all roads leading out of the area, and the base was encircled. The base contained 2,500 of Chechnya's remaining 3,500 guerillas. All 2,500 were killed.
New Army Discipline Laws passes!
One of the problems facing Russian in Chechnya is deserters, and soldiers who traded army weapons for Vodka. After Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the Army Discipline act, the Russian Army will now resume the Doctrine it had under Stalin, that a soldier should fear his officers more than the enemy. Any soldier now found guilty of treason will spend the rest of his life in a Gulag. Any soldier who can provide conclusive evidence that treason has taken place, and the evidence leads to a conviction, the soldier who identifies it will recieve 10,000 rubles. All around, penalties for offenses in the military are being stepped up. Troops not in active duty will be going for rigorous drills.
(secretly, unkown to all but Russian Federal officers, undercover Agents will be posing as Chechen guerillas at the front trying to buy weapons in exchange for Vodka. Soldiers who do sell the fake guerilla weapons will be arrested)
Free trade with Germany!
In what appears may finally be relief to Russia's economic misery, a free trade deal was signed with Russia. This will allow Germany to take advantage of Russia's vast amount of natural resources, and Russia will have a new source of capital, as well as a new market to sell it's goods.
"Shape up or face Nationilization"- Putin Warns.
Russian President Vladimir Putin today warned all of it's corrup oligarchs that if industries do not cease robbing the Russian people, their industries will face nationilization. In addition, Russia will double the size of the KGB, which will now be used against the oligarchs. And as a result of the result of the Recently passed Anti-Corruption act, any corrupt Government officials, or kleptocratic higher ups, will face a lifetime in the Gulag.
Russia seeks alliance with China
President Vladimir Putin today proposed an alliance for China. Saying that he sees no further reason to continue cold relations, and hinting he might help to eventually take Taiwan, Russia proposed an alliance between Russia and China.
Russia offers to build Armanents!
In an attempt to acquire more Capital for Russia's weakened economy, Russia offered to build it's high tech weapons for any nation in need of weapondry.

President Ziang Zemin Dead!
President Jiang Zemin died yesterday of a heart attack. The Prime Minister is supposed to assume power, however, a charasmatic young man, by the name of Jong Hong Lee, has gather many supported from the Hall of People's Deputies as well as from the even the hold hardliners. Lee is reportedly to be descended from the Ming Dynasty, his intentions are unclear as of yet, but the Prime Minister has reliquished control of the country to him.

Greetings countrymen, too long have we as a people been put down. What I promise you is a restoration of the Imperial ways, not of the corrupt Qing Dynasty, but of the Han, Tang, Song, and Ming dynasties. You may have heard that I am descended from Hongwu, the first Ming emperor, this is in fact true, and I would submit myself to DNA tests if necessary. I seek to re-establish our greatness as a nation. A flowering of culture and to make ourselves a great world power once again. This new imperial dynasty will bring China back to a great age where it will prosper.
Chinese Embassies in Russia and Germany Busy
Chinese diplomats in both nations are busy seeking an alliance with both nations. If this alliance is to become a reality, it will be perhaps the most powerful in the world, uniting three great powers. With the economy and technology of Germany, the military of Russia, and the potential of China, this alliance can rule the world.
Hall of People's Deputies Undergo Democratic Elections
This new turn of events has some communist hardliners extremely angry and plotting against the government. Nothing has come of this yet. Elections are planned in less than two months. Until then, the executive branch assumes control of the nation.
China Seeks Modern Military
China seeks to no longer have to depend on numbers in her armed forces. The country seeks to cut down its 5 million-man army into a more modern force.
Formation of Elite Forces Announced
An Imperial Guard force equivalent to one corps composed of the best of the best of the Imperial Army is being rallied in Beijing.
An Expeditionary Army is also being formed. The biggest obstacle of this is the lack of landing craft in the Imperial Navy.
Construction of Shipyards to Begin
In order to improve the Imperial Navy, the government has ordered three major shipyards to begin construction, the first of which is expected to be complete near Shanghai.
China Seeks Taiwan and Mongolia to Rejoin Empire
Imperial China has long been connected with Mongolia and Taiwan. We now seek to re-establish these ties. Mongolia is of one of the five major ethnicities of China (Han, Manchu, Tibetan, Muslim, and Mongolian).
Protests in Qingdao
A revolt believed to be backed by deposed communist hardliners has occured in Qingdao. A full division of PLA troops have clashed with Imperial forces. The soldiers fighting in this division are mostly old veterans who were also staunch supporters of Chairman Mao, but who also have families, and they do realize that the new government will be more beneficial to the average Chinese citizen.
Transportation Programs Initiated
Communications in China have suffered from disrepair over the past few years, and now the government is taking an intiative to fix these problems. Roads, bridges, highways, and may other improvements are planned.
De-nationalization Programs Initiated
Imperial China will try to take on a capitalistic ecnomy, and, in doing so, is un-nationalizing many industries. Companies from all over the world are invited to invest.
Human Rights Acts Passed
Emperor Lee has passed human rights acts to protect every citizen of the Empire. This would usually require the approval of the Hall of People's Deputies, but they have been dissolved for the time-being until new elections can be held.
Elections Revitalize China
Everyone from businessman to farmers are taking the initiative and getting ready to run for the Hall of People's Deputies. This is an excellent start for a democratic tradition in Imperial China.
Military Upgrades Planned
With the reduction of manpower in the Imperial Army, technology should be used more. Modernization of the armed forces is a high priority of the new regime.

Canadian Parliament passes Military Bill!
In Ottawa today, the Canadian Parliament has passed a bill that will allow the Canadian military to expand to keep up with the rest of the world, and also to aid our allies in their time of need. Similarly, Naval and Air Force bills have also been passed, which will keep Canada's armed forces equal in proportion to each other.
The Army bill allows:
- The raising of 60,000 additional regular troops and an additional 200,000 reserves.
- The purchasing and construction of an additional 200 Tanks, 200 APC's and 200 Artillery pieces, which will allow for a total of 3 additional mechanized divisions.
The Naval bill allows:
- The construction of 2 Iroquois Class Destroyers, 6 Halifax Class Destroyers and 7 Oberon Class Submarines for our navy.
- The leasing of a foreign shipyard, preferrably US or German, for the construction of a carrier and several air defense frigates.
The Air Force bill allows:
- The construction of an additional 144 CF18 Fighters for national defense.

Brazilian Government Destroyed
Yesterday afternoon a large airliner smashed into the Capitol District during the inaugeration of the new VP. Inside the Capitol was virtually every member of the government with several exceptions. The National Security Advisor Rich Nazzaro. Nazzaro was to be their first but was held up in the gridlock. Thank God he arrived 5 minutes late, just two minutes after the devastating plane crash. He will become the President.
"What the hell!" Scream Nazzaro at the top of his lungs.
"Sir, it is not safe for you here until the fires are put out. Please, we are bringing you back with your family." Dictated a young Corporal.
Did Rich really want his life to be in the hands of these too-young looking Marines? And what about his family?
"Who the hell is in charge here Corporal?"
A young womand ran up to meet them, she was wearing the jacket of the Brazilian SS.
"I am afraid you are until we figure this out, welcome Mr. President." She said.
"WHAT! Are you saying EVERYONE is dead?! Where is Thomaz?" Nazzaro was not shaking, his time in the Marines and Intel was enough to stop him. The things he had done.
"Sir, I am afraid so."

Reactions of Slav politics after the German Militaristic Plan
"Is it the come back of Fascism" - wrote Gazeta Wyborcza, the major Polish daily newspaper, after German Goverment annouced the great plan of militaristic reinforce. All politicians are very aware of this situation, and they are more, and more determined to vote yes, if President of Slav Confederate will announce the plan of strenghten the army. The President of Ukraine said "Even If our nation will have to buy less clothes, despite of strenghten the Military I will accept this project". Majority of Slav People would support eventualy the cost of militarization. In Ukraine 70% says yes, in Poland 82% in Slovakia 58%.
The speech of President of Slav Confederate
Today President of Slav Confederate had a speech in the TVs of three Slav Nations.
"Good morning my dear Poles, Ukrainians, and Slovakian, our great Slav Community. Over 50 years after the World War Two, the World could be in the another great danger. The German Country had returned to the expansionistic policy and they annouced the great plan of militarize their country. All peacefully people should know what it means. The stability in the World for over 50 years was secured because Germans refused to strenghten their army and use it in other actions then defence. The West superpowers, and their elites guarded to prevent of any actions which will allow Germans to restitute their military power. And Im sure that now presidents of Western Countries will say "NO" to the plans of German Goverment. I also belive that German plans is not offensive towards us and we beg German Authorities to not repeat the history. The war is the worst thing I ever know.
We Slav People remember the days when German Troops killed our ancestors in past days, and we will not reply the mistake which did our Father, and we will secure our borders. We strongly remind to German Politicians, that 1939 is not 2000. The Joined Ukrainian, Polish and Slovakian forces have greater potential then German. We have many more Military bases specially in Ukraine which was the center of scientifical military base in old Soviet Union. I will announce in the comming days the great plan of restauration of the Ukrainian, and Polish Military facilities and the plans of building the new Tank for Slav Forces. We will change our liberal economy, and we will spend large amounts of money to restore the Power to our Army.
As I said our moves are the answer to German moves and we dont want to be offensive to Germany, and we are awaiting for German answer, we want the peace in our relationships, and we are sure that our fears are unreasonable

Plans of Minisry of Slav Defence
Slav Defence Ministry annouced the great plans for the Slav Army.
Three separated armies (Polish, Ukrainian, and Slovakian) will be joined by the United Command Center. The Command Center divided the Slav Forces to three armies (Ukrainian, Polish, and Slovakians). But the integrity of this army will be greater. It will be one body with separate bodies. Some Ukrainian and Slovakian army will reinforce the German Border.
Current situation of Joined Slav Army:

200 000 in Air Fleet
40 000 in Sea Fleet
7500 Tanks (T-72, and T-80 3/4, and T-55 T-62 1/4) (specially Ukrainian)

Plans of new tank
The Slav Goverment annouced the plans of new tank T-80 Black Eagle, which was projected in Ukraine since the times of Soviet Union. It will be using new technology, and will be the respond to German Leopard. As everybody know T-34, T-72, and T-80 was projected in Ukrainian bases and in great amount produced the in Ukrainian factories. So Slav Confederate goverment decided to open this factories and annouced the subsidiary plan which will help investors to create the Factories in Poland which will be producing the new T-80 Black Eagle Tanks on Ukrainian License. The goverment plans to reduce unemployment by hiring the people to Factories which will be producing the new tanks and the ammunition and rifles, and Guns.
The restructurization of Ukrainian Farmlands
The Slav Goverment will restrucurize the Ukrainian Farmland and will sell the nationalized lands into private rich hands. The great Ukrainian lands will be producing the great amounts of food to Slav Laborers.
National Defence Fundation
The Goverment created the National Defence Foundation where people could locate their money to help the budget of SC. The 87% Slav people declares the willnes to help Country and pay to fundation much money

One of key things of W99 and TW was that NBC weapons were allowed. We'd just shun and ***** at the ******* that used them first, but they were allowed nonetheless. I can only think of one instance when they were used in W99, and everyone calmed down after anyway.

The Revolutions History
The worlds powers were asunder. Man was wontonley befouling the planet god had given him. The Atlantic ocean was slowly becoming polluted beyond repair. I an effort to unite and reverse these catastrophes the Atlantean Republic was founded in August of 1997. At first it was a simple movement started by Rico Solonis, our current president. With Rico's help we forced the Cuban government into submission and founded an empire.
It all began in 97. Rico had recruited a force of 5,000 men and, in a daring attempt, stormed Catro's palace in Havana. With the dictator in custody of the rebels the government was forced to habd over all power to Solonis. Castro was ousted and sent into exile in South Africa.
Over the next year Cuba's infrastructure was restructured from a communist state to a republican nation. Cubans and people left the US and Mexico to come back to there homeland. With our population now doubled, we sought to make alliances with the worlds nations.

Our Atlantic naval fleet was deployed in the Sargasso region on the morning of April 10, 1998 when a strage artifact was discovered protruding from the center of the massive seaweed island. It looked to be a temple of Athenian design. Upon closer inspection it was found to be the last dry land of a destroyed Atlantis. Records discovered in the temple proved not only the exsistence of the island but of the extent of the empire.
According to the 'Shianar' the Atlantean history book. The empire had once extended from Mexico to Egypt and as far north as Greenland which at the time was called Atlanticus or northern Atlantis. Mexico had been known as Mu and the people living there were the Muyans or Mayans. In Cuba were the Lemurians, the sister state of Atlantis. In Egypt was the Thebans. To the far north at Atlanticus were the Atlanticans. All these people were united under the flag of the main island of Atlantis. A republic at the beginning of time. Rico comprehended this and began the restructuring of his empire in an attempt to rebuild Atlantis and unify the old empire.
The Atlantean Republic Is Born
With the information of the ancestors, Solonis set forth on at fisrt a diplomatic mission. Seeking a summit with all world nations we met in Havana and discussed a world alliance based on the ancestors government. Surprisingly, most of the worlds nations rejected our proposal. However, we managed to unite a few nations under the Atlantean flag. Ireland joined reluctantly and only after offering help with the northern ireland dispute. Portugal offered it's nation to the alliance, where we moved the capitol and began construction of Nova Atlantis. Finally, we talked the remaining Caribbean islands into joining our union.
The War
We were in desperate need of Spain to join us. And at another summit between us and Spain only we managed to create a dispute that has led to war. In September of 1998 we started moving troops onto the border to defend against any attack. As of now we have no intent to invade unless Spain provokes any further action.
Agendas
Our priority right now is with the war in Spain and rebuilding the infrastructure of our nation. On top of that we are building the new capitol in the Azores, which we plan to dedicate much attention to.
One of our main agendas was for Greenland (Atlanticus) to be part of the republic. However, seeing that it is controlled by Germany we were hesitant.
We would be willing to buy or trade something for Greenland should Germany agree. This is an offical proposal so we expect a response from Germany.
And we would like to note:
Trade as in some of our military forces such as some of our excess Pacific fleet.
We will be offering $1,000,000,000 (1 billion)US dollars for the island. Being funded in part by private and foreign investors.
