OOC: Lets get busy!
--------------
Pretoria, South Africa
"Mbeki has failed in his promis to make the streets safe, he has has failed in his promise to create jobs for the Black South African. We elect the African National Congress to crusade for the Black man, we elect them so we can have a good standard of living. What do we get, corruption, unemployment, crime, and even more poverty, this must stop!"
The roar of the crowd was defeaning, they all agreed and yet not one knew how to solve South Africa's problems, except the man speaking.
"We need to stop our leaders from trying to please both the Black majority and the white minority. It cannot work and so the white's need to live with the fact that it is not their country anymore and that they do not control us, nor can they! With me as the new leader I promise jobs, and I know how to get them. It so simple, yet the current regime doesn't have the ability to implement it. I will mobilize this nations poor and its unemployed and I will put them to work on giant Keynsian projects designed to modernize this nation and bring it up to first world standards!"
The applause was once again defeaning as the his supporters cheered him on he chose the moment to begin his rise to power.
To the government house, we must seize power before the current regime does anymore damage!"

Russian News
State of the Union Speech
We promise economic reforms and improvements in our political system which is the foundation to a new Russia. Reforms that were not stressed by President Boris Yeltsin... he was the traitor to Russia, by pushing it back for his own corrupt game. But there is a new era approaching, a new era for a future of all Russians. This new future will not involve communism but true honest democracy which will give Russia another chance at a SuperPower status. I and my adminstration promise you today, the Russian People, that reforms will occur and you will have better life quality.
After a 2 hour speech debating which should occur the President discussed which should be done in Russia, reforms in health which will occur over two years, reforms in education, reforms in the economy, reforms in politics, and improvement in the military all with Freedom and greater security to Russians.
Tensions Rise Again in Chechyna
Tensions have rose again in the breakaway republic of Chechyna where rebel fighters have battled Russian Republic Troops fighting for the best of Russia. These fights have been victorious on the Russian Side, since the new President came to the troops himself and encouraged them to try their hardest and better will come to them. One report claims the Rebels have sustained up to 400 losses in one battle, while the Russians lost 27... nearly 200 MiGs of various types flew over Chechyna searching for rebel sites, but it isn't easy. Rebels have hideouts in basements in civilian buildings and it is nearly impossible to find them.
We will not let the economically important province of Dagestan/Chechyna gain indepedence. It will just not happen because it is the future of Russia, mining is a key point, and there are many oil lines running through this area. We will protect the Chechyna People the best we can...
-President of the New Republic of Russia
Our new nation (new government actually) will be called New Russian Republic and will work on the peoples side. We Request Peace Treaties with France, South Africa and other nations...

The United Kingdom is in a state of mourning after news of the crash of the airplane carring Tony Blair. The 767 reportedly had engine troubles over the Atlantic Ocean en route to New York City. At 14:00 GMT it dissapeared from radar screens just before 4 Tornado F3's arrived to escort it. The F3's reported debris on the ocean surface. It is unlikely anyone survived the crash. Preliminary reports indicate that the aircraft, in dense fog, flew into a flock of geese which clogged its engines cause it to lose power and crash.
Horace Tis, an up and coming member of the Labour party, is expected to become the next prime minister.

The Oceanian government wishes to express their condolances to the English government for the loss of their beloved Prime Minister. In the spirit of friendship, we will send a military delegation to his funeral and present an Australian flag to his family.
The Oceanian parliament has passed a bill allowing for the expansion of the Australian military in lieu of worldwide buildups and unifications. Funding has been allotted for the construction of a new naval flotilla, the recruitment of new troops, the assembly of new tanks, artillery and APC's and the assembly of several squadrons of new jet fighters and the purchase of a bomber force from the USA. Furthermore, in anticipation of an invasion from the north, old WW2 fixed batteries are being reconditioned and rebuilt around the cities of Darwin and Cairns to protect the cities in case of attack.
To England: We are sincerely sorry for the loss of your Prime Minister and we offer our heartfelt condolences. We also wish to offer you an increased alliance plan, we allow you to station British troops on Oceanian soil, in bases on Papua New Guniea and the northern Australian coast.
To USA: We welcome you into the world sphere, and we wish to sign an alliance with your nation. Also, our Parliament has passed a funding bill which would allow for the purchase of 2 squadrons of B-52 bombers from your nation should you agree. If not, we will use the money for another cause.

The power struggle in the top of the Chinese government appears to have ended, with favorable results for the West.
Former Admiral Sun Ji-Guoming, the man that many consider to have been China's best naval commander in history, has taken up the reins of power that were left with the death of the former Prime Minister.
Ji-Guoming is taking over at a crucial point in Chinese history. As the PRC makes a grab for superpower status in the 21st century, she will become a major player in the community of nations. Western educated, Ji-Guoming is well positioned to lead China at this time.
Ji-Guomings politics are also western friendly. He has always advocated closer ties with the west, and now is expected to open up China to the west.
In a stunning first move, Ji-Guoming has invited the Dalai Lahma to Beijing to discuss the status of Tibet, and also delegates fromTaiwan and the US to discuss the future of that province.
Also, Sun Ji-Guoming expresses his sympathis to the British people over the loss of Tony Blair, and declares all flags in Hong Kong to be flown at half staff.

CNN - Pretoria
Chaos interupted a peaceful session of parliament today as protesters spilled onto the streets complaining of poverty and crime. The leader of these protests a Canadian born South African raised Black named Bolo Tarmagin has called for the arrest of the corrupt regime and the formation of a new government with him in power. He has called the government of Mbeki, Nelson Mendela's heir to the ANC corrupt and authoritarian who cares more about his own bank acount than South Africa. "I am tired of seeing African nations turned into horrid places because the leaders cannot handle power responsibly. This must be stopped, the corruption, the crime, the violence must end and I am the only one that can do it."
As the protesters got closer to government house the army was called in to protect the Mbeki regime from being overthrown. But they refused, many empathized with Tarmagin and were disgruntled at the turn of events. The government of Mbeki fell, and Tarmagin has taken power, the Judicial branch has come behind him and the legislative branch has been silent.
-------------------
Two days later
"Do you Bolo Tarmagin, promise to uphold the ideals set forth in the constitution to serve the state and her people?"
"I do."
The ceremony lasted less than thirty minutes before Bolo Tarmagin was officially sworn in as President.
Tarmagin had this to say.
quote:

In the coming months and years you will work hard, maybe harder than you ever have before. South Africa has been looted, not as bad as Russia but certainly enough. Some of the measures I will be passing may seem harsh but in the end South Africa will benefit. The people of this nation demand jobs, and they demand security, less crime. This can be solved this can all be solved, though it may take time and effort we can turn this nation arouind and make it the power it deserves to be.

With the support of the Congress, the President has ordered that existing military prjects be carried forward to completion with great expediency. Existing orders for warships and auxilaries are to be filled ahead of schedule with the greatest possible speed.
Congress has voted to approve a large military spending package to revitalize and improve the United States military. A large chunk of the funding provided by the bill was allocated to so-called "black" projects. Rumors on the projects vary greatly, from stealth warships, advanced submarines, new warplanes, land weapons, and even advanced flying craft.
The Secretary of Defense refused to comment on many of the bill's provisions, but did confirm that funding was provided for:
- The replacement or upgrade of all M1 and M1A1 tanks in the United States military to M1A2 standard over the new year and a half.
- The construction of numnerous stealth warplanes, inlcuding F-117s, F-22s, F-23s, and B-2s.
- The continuation of research on a new stealth bomber with global strike capacity.
- And the accelerated construction of submarines and warships to join the United States navy.
New election polls show that it is very likely that George W. Bush will be the next President of the United States, ending the Clinton era once and for all.

Political Prisoners Freed
As Sun Ji-Guoming consolidates his power, more and more political dissidents find themselves freed from prison. In a massuve ralley in Tianamen Square, the Prime Minister spoke out against the evil that regimines before him had done.
"People of China, fear no more. Never again will tanksroll through this square. Never again will Chin reaise her hand against he people." The cheers rang throughout the Forbidden City.
--------------------------------------
But all was not well. In a darkened room, away from Tianamen Square, several old government officials were meeting.
"We must stop Ji-Guoming from ruining the dreams of Mao."
In the back, one of the servants took note of the whipered conversation.

Following the death of Tony Blair, the United Kingdom sank into a state of mourning. Every flag in the nation flew at half staff. Tony Blair was posthumously knighted by Queen Elizabeth. While his body has not been recovered, a State Funeral is to be held in 2 weeks. All heads of State and foreign dignitaries are invited, particulary those whom Sir Blair was close with.
Meanwhile Horace Tis began assembling his government, keeping most of the Ministers but sacking Robin Cook.
Foreign Minister
To United States,
The United Kingdom would like to engage in joint military projects with you. Perhaps the Trimaran Future Surface Combatant project?http://www.warships1.com/BRffg2000_FSC.htm
To France,
The United Kingdom looks on your involvement to stabilize Andorra and prevent loss of life with high regards. We wish to further ally our two great nations.(Alain Dubarry? is that from Rainbow Six? it sounds familiar)
To Russia,
While we wish your actions in Chechnya were less damaging to the civilian populace, we recognize who important it is to maintain unity and order and discourage seccesionist rabble-rousers. We hope the situation is resolving with speed and grace.
To Oceania,
The United Kingdom thanks you for you rgesture towards the late Sir Tony Blair. We accept your alliance offer and will deploy several infantry detachments and a frigate squadron to your theater. We would also be willing to sell you some of the Nuclear powered Swiftsure submarines.
To China,
The United Kingdom wishes to applaude Sun Ji-Guoming for his efforts to establish a free democratic government in China and intergrate the historic and powerful nation into the international community. The United Kingdom feels that increased economic ties would be benificial to both nations, you would get access to British products and technology while british companies would recieve access to the massive chinese consumer market.

Corruption Arrests and Civil Changes
Today, at the 11 hour 5 Political leaders were arrested for corruption charges including Yeltsin but was later released since he was not abled to stand trial and the others were members of his political party who were deep in corruption. In the meantime 200 SWAT Police neared on Mafia positions and started lines of Arrests, killing 2 and arresting 64 who were injured. The Russian Police will be militarized, all equppied with Russian Built AK-47 Automatic Rifles and training time will be extended. There uniform will now be gray camoflague. Corruption will be tackled heavily with the possiblitity of lives lost in the following weeks.
Putin's Demands
The Russian President promised freedom for the Chechyna Rebels and Civilians, allowing them further freedom for their republic, although Russia must collect taxes and could invest in the region as long as local Chechyna Authorities are in charge of collecting taxes. The Rebels will be charged for nothing, and must disarm. But the New Republic Government will respect their freedom...
To UK: It seems the Rebels are hopeless in resolving this with peace but we will protect the Civilians of this region at all costs, unlike past regimes who do not put up with this and kill both Civilians and Rebels. We want to keep Civilian loss at a minimal, Russian transport planes are taking food to areas that are secure more than before.
24 Dead in Shooting
In a tragic shooting in a Subway located in Moscow, 4 Russian Political Leaders of the NRR Party were killed along with 20 innocent Civilians. The Police killed 52 Russian Mob Affilicates who had automatic weapons killing innocent civilians, unfornately 4 Cops were killed and a memorial service will be performed for all who were killed in this. The Military Was mobilized and the Police militarized and place on red alert for the look out on Gangs and the Russian Mob. This kind of violence will not be tolerated, and many thousands of arrest may go on in the following weeks for the charge of murder, illegal drug smuggling and other charges. As to this, 3 new Prisions will be built which are maximum security with the highest Guard-Prisioner ratio in Europe. Of course this will cost money, but will be installed nonetheless. 18 were injured while 6 are in serious condition.
Nuclear faciilities to be rebuilt
In the next few years, deem to instable nuclear facilities will be rebuilt so explosions will be put at a minimal and all nuclear related stuff will also be rebuilt. This is for safety of the Russian People.

Marcos Disbands Government, Appoints Ricuerte
In a stunning move today in Brasilia, Marcos has arrested major figures in the Brazilian government, including himself. The arrests came after several hundred kilos of cannabis was confiscated in Rio de Janeiro. On a ship owned by a dummy corporation run by major figures in Brazil's government. Everyone suspected was subjected to a raid by local police forces, on some sites small doses of the drug was found. All indicted are pleading for their lives, screaming their innocence. More news later, next up lets see how our futbol team fares against the Americans...
Ricuerte reaches for the controller and shuts off the set.
General, I told you your men would not be implicated. Trust in me old friend.
So it seems jefe. So it seems. The Secretary of Defense was a good ally though. A shame he will be in jail. The General laughs at this.
We shall see, we shall see. I have plans for our nation. Plans that will make Bolivar in comparison. We shall achieve these plans with the knowledge and guidance of one man alone. Napoleon.
And so was born the Napoleonic Socialist Regime. A Regime dedicated to American unity and peace.

Popular Support Still Strong in Burma
Today in Mandalay, a huge military parade was thrown, in order to show that popular support was still strong in the state of Burma. There have been so far few reports of unrest in Burma, while southern Vietnam is in chaos.
27 Killed in Restaurant Bomb
27 people were killed after a bomb exploded in a crowded restaurant in Phnom Penh today. No one has claimed responsibility yet, but officials point to the VRP rebels for the cause of the explosion.
Drought in Southern Cambodia
A large drought lasting nearly four weeks has ruined the rice crop in southern Cambodia, officials say. Peasants have been protesting the supposedly high rice tax, while officials point out that the VRP revolts have costed millions, and thus the DRSEA must find a way to make revenue.
Communist Party Banned
The Communist party was banned today, after Communist supporters tried to assassinate our Great and Glorious Leader Thanom Chatichai. All Communist party members have ten days to renounce their ties to the party, or else they will be jailed or shot. Any persons collaborating with the Communists will be shot on sight.
