Makes sense to me, to pull away a bit. The tough part is that we do lots of stuff together, and that I have other responsibilities that involve both of us, that I can't just ignore. I think I have pushed too hard, and that I need to back off.

Nice to see that you like at least something Russian, Asher. Personally I hate vodka, and especially Smirnoff. But it's great to have some (about 0.5 liters per person) in a good men's company. The conversation that ensues is usually so deep and profound that it makes up for the ugly taste.
