All I can say is its about time somebody made a scenario based on the amazing "GREAT WAR" series starting with How Few Remain. Are you using the new North American Gigamap or another North American map?
Do you plan on making the other books in the series into scenario's? Do you need someone to design a title screen? I'm a pretty decent title screen designer if your interested.

..... one thing though, the coolent towers in the terrain icon look a bit out of place for the 1880's, maybe you could replace them with coal burning smokestacks. Other than that it looks awsome!!

Although I haven't read How Few Remain I have read the six books that followed in the series so I can sum up what happens in How Few Remain.
The Civil War did indeed happen but it was the south that won. They won in part to better luck on the battlefield and European intervention. Its now the 1880's, and the CSA is ready to expand their empire. It just so happens the Emperor of Mexico (Maximillian I believe) is looking for some cash for the country he has bankrupted.
The CSA therefore agree's to purchase the states of Sinora and Chihuahua (forgive my spelling). The US sees this CSA expansion as unexeptable and declares war. That in short is the history behind How Few Remain.

Sarsstock, I'm using a map I found on Mercator's site - by Charles Magee I believe. I did not want to use a gigamap because I hope to make a quick, fun scenario that should only take a couple of evenings to play. As it is, each civilization I feel has enough cities and adequate space to manouevre:
No. of starting cities for each civ (could be revised yet):
United States - 32
Confederate States - 26
Mormom - 3
Mexico - 13
British - 15
Barbarian/Indian (representing cities in Sonora) - 4
Now, with regard to the visual aspect of the scenario. I am truly craptastic when it comes to drawing, so I have borrowed from several sources. Thanks for the offer Sarsstock, if you have an idea for an appropriate title.gif, I'd really like to see it!
Fairline, very astute of you to notice British officers parading around! My reason for using these was indeed lack of approriate unit graphics. In How Few Remain, the Confederates have changed their uniform from the gray of the Civil War to butternut. The most suitable graphics I could find for this were your British WW1 units. The Union have left their uniform more or less the same since the Civil War according to my understanding of the books.
With regard to specific graphic requests, I could use an image of Stonewall Jackson and George Custer (mine were taken from Microprose's Civil War scenario). The uniform on the Confederate Camel Rider also needs changing to match the uniform of the rest of the army. Can anyone also recommend a decent Ironclad graphic?
If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. Thanks for all the help guys!

I agree, the second flag looks much better. Also, lets see if we can find a good gatling gun unit, one of those odd contraptions right?

I took a crack at re-touching the terrain hex with the coolant towers in them, I tried to give it a more 1880's feel by adding chimneys, however I'm not sure oil rigs existed in the 1880's so it still might be wrong.
Let me know what you think!
