Right, but the currently projected Edwards margin, 44% to 29%, is significantly larger then expected. Earlier polls showed the race much closer.

Has Dean definitely lost the race, or does he have a chance to come back?

That's strange how the top dog can lose support as soon as a challenger tops him. But that sure is funny to watch.

Dean appears to be in trouble. He could still be a strong contender, but apparently he has been so fiscally irresponsible with his campaign that he spent away a significant portion of his campaign funds. Had he saved more, he could run a more long term campaign, but now he is down and there is no obvious way to come back. Still, anything could happen...

It'd be strange for the exit polls to be so wrong. It could just be some certain pro-Clark precincnts are reporting now. Would be interesting though if Kerry came in 3rd too place OK and SC

Evil republicans indeed. I thought all the Republicans were for Al Sharpton.

S. Carolina: 66% reporting.

John Edwards 80,170 44%
John Kerry 54,009 30%
Al Sharpton 17,774 10%
Wesley Clark 13,287 7%

Just as they have been for most of the day.

as for Oklahoma: 26% of precincts

John Edwards 21,494 30%
Wesley Clark 21,421 30%
John Kerry 18,148 25%

Kerry's starting to creep up.
